Contemporary Trick, Lifts & Formations 8 weeks
Contemporary is for dancers that have several years of ballet training. Movements focus on the torso. This employs contract and release, floor work, recovery style movements while music is unpredictable in rhythm and speed. Students will learn to connect with their bodies and exchange energy through their movement and breath with peers. A focus will also lean toward strength in lifts and formations. Working in small and large groups.

Jazz 13 & up 8 weeks
Jazz class is based on additional technique, as well as, a form of dance to build style, musicality, coordination and performance qualities. Jazz uses age appropriate, upbeat music offering numerous styles of classical, musical theatre and contemporary jazz. Students will work on mastering skills such as jumps, turns and leaps along with conditioning and strengthening. The importance of warm-up, isolation's and cool downs will be practiced and understood.

Pre-K 3-6 years old
This is a great introduction into ballet and tap. We utilize songs and props to get dancers moving. We introduce basic dance vocabulary to assist in their growth. Children will need ballet and tap shoes for this class. Leotard and tights is our preferred dress code.

Morning camps consist of 45 minutes of dance exploring different movements, 5-10 minutes having a snack and the remainder of the time will be used for a themed craft. Your dancer will dress as their favorite princesses or prince for each class.

This is a great introduction into dance. We utilize songs and props to get dancers moving. We introduce basic dance vocabulary to assist in their growth. Children do not need shoes for this class. Leotard and footless tights is our preferred dress code.

Lyrical is an introduction to contemporary for the younger artist. This class should be taken in addition to a technique class and will focus on artistry and musicality. Lyrical is a form of dance that uses expression and movement to tell a story. We like to call it poetry in motion. Most lyrical dances are a combination of ballet, jazz and modern dance styles that showcase balance, flexibility and strength all while telling a story emotionally. This is a great class for students to start developing their voice and individuality as a dancer.

This class focuses on the foundations and principles of body movement and form used in ballet. Aspects of technique will include alignment, which refers to proper placement of the head, shoulders and hips. Correct, positions, lines and angles including turnout and core strength will be reinforced through routine practice.

This class is for students with 3 or more years of training. Students registering for this class should be in middle school or high school. Some exceptions will be made. This class qualifies for pre-pointe students and beginner pointe work.
