Level I Ballet
Level I Ballet marks the beginning of formal ballet training. Students will progress in their barre work, alignment and ballet positions. Technique will continue to be developed from Pre-Ballet. At the end of Level I, dancers will have mastered fundamental ballet steps, terminology, alignment and developmentally appropriate ballet positions.

Prerequisite: Pre-Ballet or placement at instructor's discretion based on a placement class.

Students must turn 8 by the first day of class: exceptions must be approved by instructor. Class meets once a week from August to June. Tuition is split into 4 payments of $117 per session. Dress code: Orchid leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers.

Pre-Ballet
Students are introduced to ballet vocabulary and barre work while building flexibility of movement, dance exploration and classroom decorum. Technique will be developed from the base formed in Creative Dance. At the end of Pre-Ballet dancers will have been introduced to ballet steps, terminology, alignment and developmentally appropriate ballet positions.
Students must turn 7 by the first day of class: exceptions must be approved by instructor. Class meets once a week from August to June. Tuition is split into four payments of $112.50 per session. Dress code: Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers.

Level II Tap
A continuation of Level I Tap. Students will be introduced to more complex rhythms and choreography. Students must turn 7 by the first day of class: exceptions must be approved by instructor. Class meets once a week from August to June. Tuition is split into four payments of $108 per session. Dress code: black leotard, pink tights, black tap shoes for girls, black t-shirt, black jazz pants and black tap shoes for boys.

Level I Jazz
An introduction to Jazz and Lyrical Jazz. Lyrical dance combines techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. Students will also explore how lyrical dance emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics to tell a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract.
Students must turn 8 by the first day of class: exceptions must be approved by instructor. Class meets once a week from August to June. Tuition is split into four payments of $112.50 per session. Dress code: black leotard, black full length or capri jazz pants, black jazz shoes, lyrical sandals.

Pre-Pointe
The pre-pointe class is by invitation only- student must have 3 years of formal training and be at least 10 years old by the first day of class and have completed at least 1 year of Level III Ballet. Must also be concurrently enrolled in at least Level III Ballet.

Level II Ballet

Students who are deemed ready will be invited to enroll in the Pre-Pointe class.
Dress code: Turquoise camisole leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, hair in a bun.

Prerequisite: Level IV Ballet or placement at instructor's discretion based on a placement class.
Students must turn 13 by the first day of class: exceptions must be approved by instructor. Class meets three times per week from August to June. Enrollment in all 3 classes is required. Tuition is split into four payments of $310.50 per session.

A minimum of 3 technique classes per week is required to commence and continue pointe work.

Dress code: Raspberry camisole leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, pointe shoes, if approved.

Beginning Adult Ballet
Suitable for the beginner teen/ adult as well as students who would like to work in a slower paced environment, this class progresses slowly and is open to adult beginners at any point in the session. Attention is paid to proper body alignment, use of the legs and feet, and developing movement sequences through coordination of the arms and head. Students are encouraged to follow more experienced students as well as ask questions when needed. Like all of our open classes, this class is subject to the needs of the overall attendees of each class.

Rhythm and Movement Dance classes encourage imagination, self-expression and group interaction while introducing basic ballet movement and music concepts. Dancers will explore movement through the use of props, musical instruments and partner work. Returning students are encouraged to step into leadership roles in the class. Class includes 20 minutes of Creative Ballet and 20 minutes of Tap. Students should turn 4 by the first day of class: exceptions must be approved by the instructor.
