A typical Primary I class starts with ballet barre, flows to a series of yoga based stretches chosen specifically for dance, then the dancer moves to center work, and the class ends with a fun exercise utilizing each dancers creativity and imagination.

Yoga
Yoga offers a blend of fire and grace for the whole body while offering guidance for peace and clarity for mind and heart. Tone and build strength in the arms, back, core, glutes and legs. Stretch through the torso, legs and feet to release tension and increase flexibility. Use the breath to cultivate a strong and mindful practice that will serve both mind and body.

Intermediate II and Advanced Ballet Technique with Pointe
Considerable ballet training and experience a must. Designed for the dancer who is knowledgeable and secure in the execution of large movements, beats, pirouettes in all positions.
Curriculum: 2 years (dancers can expect to train for 2 years in each level respectively).
Attire: Intermediate II - burgundy leotard and pink tights. Advanced - black leotard and pink or black tights.
Shoes: Ballet shoes and Pointe Shoes.

The Tap portion will introduce syncopated movement dance style that is exhilarating and fun!

This class is designed for the Intermediate to Advanced dancer and focuses on structured technique that dancers can base their future employment on. TDC's Jazz II aids in further developing dancers' individual style, while incorporating advanced jazz jump and turning techniques plus a fun fusion of classical and modern jazz choreographic styles.
Attire: Comfortable dance clothing of any style, must cover the dancer well as there is a lot of movement in this class. No bare midriffs.
Shoes: Tan slip on jazz shoes.
Hair: Pony tail or bun for ladies.

This fun class is designed for the student with no previous jazz experience. Students will learn proper jazz technique, body positions, and standard jazz combos. Emphasis is placed on proper utilization of syncopation, long lines, inverted limbs, forced-arch relevés and isolations.
Attire: Comfortable dance clothing of any style, must cover the dancer well, as there is a lot of movement in this class. No bare midriff.

Intermediate II & Advanced Pointe
Intermediate II/Advanced Pointe Technique emphasis is placed on perfecting technique, building strength, executing multiple turns en pointe, complex pointe sequences, and developing artistry to bridge the gap between advanced student and pre-professional training.
Prerequisite: At least 5 years of ballet training plus 2 years of pointe training minimum, mastery of all the Intermediate Technique and Pointe syllabus, and faculty approval.
Attire:Appropriate uniform leotard. Short skirts are permitted

No distracting jewelry allowed. Hair must be neatly pulled back from the face into a bun.

Pre Ballet/Tap I 3.5-5 yrs old
Our tiny dancers are ages 3.5-5yrs. 3 year olds must be potty trained. PreBallet students will be introduced to the structure of a ballet class, selected barre exercises, stretching sequences, basic positions, and fun-simple movements across the floor. This class is rounded out with fun tunes and basic tap steps!
Curriculum: 2 years (dancers can expect to train for a minimum 2 years in this level).
Attire: Pink leotard (no skirt attached) and pink tights.
Shoes: Pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.

This class is teaches basic hip hop moves. Class focuses on muscle development, coordination, and musicality through fun and creative ways! Great for boys and girls!

Hip Hop II 11 & Up
Hip Hop II infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina.

This class focuses on improving a dancers strength, flexibility, endurance and agility. Some acrobatic elements are incorporated in this cross training class specifically designed for dancers.

Recommended for ages 7 and up.

This class introduces basic Tap technique and steps that are utilized in Musical Theatre productions. This fun class is highly recommended for children interested in Musical Theatre and the dance steps associated with this "Broadway" style of Tap dance. The class focuses on developing the student's coordination, sense of time and basic Tap dancing vocabulary. Classes are taught to a wide range of musical selection (Jazz, Broadway, Brazilian, African, Indian, etc...) broadening students' musical horizons.

From Hula to Hungarian Dance this class has it all! Character Dance acquaints students with the ethnic dances, Polonaise, Mazurka, and other formal and folk dances of the past that appear not only in the classical repertory such as Coppélia, The Nutcracker, and The Sleeping Beauty, but also in contemporary works. This class is a must for increased musicality and turbo charging your technique!

Jumps & Turns
Leaping and turning is an important component in every dancer's repertoire, and enhances all dance styles! Jumps and Turns is a class created for the serious dancer who wishes to improve their technique, with the goal of executing components correctly and safely. This class will focus on refining technique and proper execution of turns, from basic through complex sequences.. We will also work on progressing from basic leaps and jumps to technically demanding advanced leaps and jumps.

Designed for the dancer that is continuing to build upon tap basics.This is a spirited and fun beginning tap class — focused on building strong tap technique and vocabulary! We will learn all of the basics and introduces fun tap routines based on these simple steps. This technique will include Broadway style with a good dose of syncopation thrown in.
Attire: Form fitting dance wear.

This Intermediate level Tap class is designed for students with a solid knowledge of tap technique. Intermediate Tap Dance Classes focus on strengthening each student’s dance and music skills through improving rhythm tap technique and learning various styles of choreography. Our intermediate tap dance classes are taught to a wide range of musical styles, including Jazz, Broadway, African, Indian, and Brazilian, broadening students’ musical horizons and always making each combination new and different. Students in TDC’s intermediate tap dance classes learn and experience the fun and joy of tap dancing, all while learning professional styles to bring to the stage!

Tap IV Advanced
Advanced tap class will include important elements of both "Rhythm" and "Broadway" styles, in order to teach students to be versatile in their performance skills. Choreography will fuse different dance styles into routines and students will be encouraged to experiment on their own through student choreography opportunities and improvisation. Classes will include fun trick steps that are always crowd pleasers. Most importantly, focus will be on intricate and subtle steps that will challenge fine motor skills.
