Pointé requires a specific shoe with a hard box that allows dancers to dance on the tips of their toes. Dancing on pointé shoes requires a certain amount of physical development and very strong ankles. If your student is interested in this class, please contact Mrs. Lauren to find out if your student is ready to dance on pointé. Some dancers who are not ready for pointé shoes will be allowed to attend the class in order to strengthen their ankles. Students who are preparing for pointé should expect to train for 6 months to a year and will be advised by the teacher as to when they can purchase their pointé shoes.
