African dance is a high-energy class that will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. African dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

Ballet (2-4 year olds)
An introduction to ballet where the students have fun beginning their development of ballet concepts including turn out, coordination, spatial awareness and a specific focus on class etiquette. Students will begin positions of the feet, and introductory movement vocabulary. This class is designed for our youngest dancers who want to express their independence without the assistance of mom or dad.Class sizes are kept very small to assure plenty of individual attention for our youngest dancers.

This fun class is designed to introduce our youngest students to jazz dance. Learning some basic jazz skills will allow the students to experience a new style of dance while improving their flexibility, sense of rhythm and overall coordination.

Lyrical/Ballet (8+ year olds)
This introductory class gives students the opportunity to experience lyrical dance, which combines techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. Students will also explore how lyrical dance emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics to tell a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract.
