In this class, basic ballet steps will be taught, along with creative movement and body recognition. This class stresses repetition for muscle strength and memory by combining dance games and fun music. This class is the perfect introduction for a mom free dance class. Ages 2 1/2-3.

Beginning Pointe
Instructor placement is required for this class. This class is designed for student to utilize their previously learned ballet technique while working on pointe shoes. Exercises will focus on strengthening the feet and ankles so the dancer can move from barre work to center and across the floor work.

This class builds upon learning basic ballet steps. Rhythmic skills, creative concepts, short dance sequences combined with hopping, skipping and galloping make this class the perfect fit for your active dancer. In tap, students will develop an understanding of rhythm and musical skills through a variety of center and across the floor exercises and choreographed combinations. Ages 3-4.

Jazz 2 continues to build on the skills learned in Jazz 1. Class will include more intensive warm up, strengthening, center work, progressions across the floor and choreography. Dancers must be enrolled in a ballet class and have a minimum of 4 years experience in either ballet or jazz. Individual evaluation is available upon request.

Pointe 1 (2018-2019 Season Students)
Pointe 1 is for students just starting out in pointe shoes that have completed a minimum of 1 year of pre-pointe. Dancers will learn the parts of the pointe shoe, fitting the shoes, how to maintain the pointe shoes, etc while also focusing on proper technique and strength while wearing pointe shoes. This level generally couples with Ballet 4 and requires instructor approval. At ELevate we put our students health and safety first. This may mean a dancer waits to get their pointe shoes until they are completely ready. We do not base this solely on age. Strength and experience are also very important factors. Individual evaluations are available.

Lyrical 2
Lyrical 2 begins to explore emotion on a base level while still focusing on base technique. New technique will continue to be added and dancers will be introduced to a the difference between contemporary and lyrical. Dancers must also be enrolled in a ballet class to take Lyrical 2 and have a minimum 3-4 years of dance experience in either jazz, lyrical or ballet. Individual evaluation is available upon request.

Beginning ballet class for ages 10+. Dancers will learn the same skills as Ballet 1 & 2, but will move through the material at an increased pace. Once the class is completed, a dancer can be moved at the instructor's discretion to the numbered levels.

Jazz 1 is the perfect follow up to debut jazz. More intensive stretching will be included with warm ups and more difficult technique added. Dancers will continue to learn proper technique and terminology that is based in ballet. Class will include warm up, center work, progressions across the floor and basic choreography. Dancers must be enrolled in a ballet class and have a minimum of 1-3 year experience in either ballet or jazz. Individual evaluation is available upon request.

Hip Hop 1
Hip hop 1 is for dancers with 1-2 years hip hop experience. Students learn to find their groove and gain confidence that's demonstrated through big movements. Dancers are introduced to breakdancing, popping and gliding/footwork.

Dancer dive deeper into the art of lyrical. They continue to learn to dance with expression while keeping technique strong and begin more complex study of emotions. More contemporary will be included and dancers will learn additional tricks to their repertoire. Dancers must also be enrolled in a ballet class to take Lyrical 3 and have a minimum of 5 years of dance experience in either jazz, lyrical or ballet.

In this class students will study the history of various dance forms and dancers. By learning and watching some of the great dances and dancers of all times, our dancers will develop an awareness, appreciation, and self pride for dance and where the styles originated from and how they evolved.
