Christy Williams founded Swansboro Dance Studio in 1982 and Emerald Isle Dance Studio in 2011. Over the years, she taught dance to thousands of local students. She loved the Arts, especially dance. But more than dance, Christy Williams loved being able to provide the opportunity to experience dance for everyone. The Christy Williams Memorial Scholarship for the Arts will provide assistance to hard-working and highly motivated high school dance students with financial need who are seeking to expand their dance opportunities. This scholarship will provide the opportunity for at least one local dancer to attend our 2025 New York City Dance Trip and take classes on Broadway.
