Dream Detroit Skating Academy (DDSCA) was founded in February 2022 by former competitive figure skaters Angela Blocker-Loyd and Candice Tamakloe. As two of very few African American figure skaters in the metro Detroit area during their skating careers, Angela and Candice wanted to create an opportunity for youth in their community to experience the love and passion that they share for the sport of figure skating. Your donation will help to expand the reach of Dream Detroit to offer opportunities to youth in the City of Detroit who would not normally have the exposure to such a beautiful sport.
