Dance Fremont is now a 501(c)3 organization! Your tax-deductible donation will help us support and enrich our current students' dance education, as well as bring dance to new populations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, with your support we are able to give scholarships to students in need, make open class pay-if-you-can pay-what-you-can, and keep the virtual doors open!
Some of the ways your money will be put to work:
~Through the Mary & Vivian Scholarship Fund, Dance Fremont provides scholarships to students in need of financial assistance who show dedication to the study of dance. Our scholarship fund is named in honor of our studio founders, Mary Reardon & Vivian Little, in recognition of their years of devoted education for countless students. Your contribution allows any child with a love for dance to study at Dance Fremont, regardless of their family's financial status.
~Our Guest Artist program brings in dance educators of national and international standing, such as Virginia Johnson, Artistic Director of Dance Theatre of Harlem, to enrich our students' dance education.
~The Outreach program brings dance to the wider community, such as with discounted or free tickets to see dance performances, or with dance classes in schools.
A Note Regarding COVID-19 Impacts:
Dance Fremont has served your community for over twenty years. We very much hope that we are still able to do so in the future when the pandemic has ended. The economic effects of the shutdown are significant. As in many other fields, most people working in the performing arts had all their work disappear overnight.
Dance Fremont is committing to paying our front desk staff, faculty, and musicians during the shutdown, to try to lessen the financial blow to them. We are also providing scholarships to our students whose families have been economically affected by the pandemic and want to continue dancing. Scholarship funds may be applied to tuition or to materials necessary for class participation, such as uniforms and technology access. Your contribution will help keep Dance Fremont running for the years ahead and will allow our students to continue their dance education.
We are sincerely grateful for the generosity of our community- that's you!
