This fantasy-themed ballet class is designed to cultivate your child's creativity, individuality and artistry while discovering ballet terminology and culture of discipline. At Académie de Ballet Classique, we pride ourselves on using age-appropriate activities and goals as dictated by the LeapNLearn program.
Stated Learning Outcomes describe what a student dancer should know, understand or be able to do on completion of a learning process, defined in terms of knowledge, skills and competence. By the completion of the school year (June 2023) your child will:
move with increased control, co-ordination and confidence
move with an awareness of the body and an understanding of how it moves through space
demonstrate a developing sensitivity to music through movement
express feelings and emotions through movement.

This school year curriculum takes the tap journey onto new rhythms and patterns to engage and build confidence in the new or beginning tapper. ISTD curriculum will build a deeper technique and more challenging rhythms. Each class begins with a warmup, progressing to rhythms and familiar steps combined in challenging ways.
Learning Outcomes by school year's end, your child will achieve:
a greater awareness of the use of space
increased awareness of audience and higher sense of performance

ISTD curriculum will build a deeper technique and more challenging rhythms. Each class begins with a warmup, progressing to rhythms and familiar steps combined in challenging ways.

This level dives deeper into triggering muscle memory necessary for advanced choreography, such as multiple turns, strong battery, bigger leaps and soft controlled landings. Important to all dancers wanting to minimize injury, they strengthen the muscles that control turnout from the tops of the legs rather than crank a false turnout from the feet. Mobility of the spine using supporting muscles raises the level of artistry for the advanced dancer, so very important for today's dancer.

This fantasy-themed ballet class is designed to cultivate your child's creativity, individuality and artistry while discovering ballet terminology and culture of discipline. At Academie de Ballet Classique we pride ourselves on using age-appropriate activities and goals as dictated by the Royal Academy of Dance.

Children are delighted to dance through all of the magical places while using their newly learned ballet steps. This fantasy-themed ballet class is designed to cultivate your child's creativity, individuality and artistry while discovering ballet terminology and culture of discipline. At Académie de Ballet Classique, we pride ourselves on using age-appropriate activities and goals as dictated by the LeapNLearn curriculum.
Stated learning outcomes describe what a student dancer should know, understand or be able to do on completion of a learning process, defined in terms of knowledge, skills and competence.
Your child will work toward:
