Tiny Tot 1 Ballet / Tap
Tiny Tot Ballet / Tap Combination Class will consist of time focused in ballet and tap.

Ballet develops discipline, technique, strength, and flexibility which are needed for all forms of dance and are beneficial to living in general. Ballet develops muscle strength, memory, and tone which can last a life time.

Tap dance is essentially making rhythmical percussion sounds using your feet. Skills covered: Taps, Heels, Toe Taps, Shuffles, Marches, Sugars, etc.

Advanced / Elite Tap
Tap dance is essentially making rhythmical percussion sounds using your feet. This level utilizes the "close-to-the-floor" concepts and concentrates on quicker and more intricate tap patterns. Skills covered: Shuffles in triplet time, Paradiddles, Riffles, Wings, Pullbacks, Corkscrew, Cramp Roll Turn, Barrel Roll Turns, etc.

Hip Hop as a dance type is a popular form of movement that has evolved since the 70's from it's origins of break dancing. It was when musical rhythms slowed down that hip hop and it's cruisy head nodding beats developed. Hip Hop is a genre of its own and other styles such as popping, locking, and krumping which are sometimes interwoven into the style developed independently, although are generally danced to the same hip hop, rap, or funk music.

Contemporary
Contemporary Dance requires the skills, technique, and flexibility of a ballet dancer. It uses these skills to create movement and chorography that deviates and distorts traditional ballet. Contemporary dancers take risks with movement with the intention of making the viewer feel something in relation to what they are seeing. Contemporary dance is dancer-centric, with a focus on choreography, a theme, an idea or concept.

Beginning Pointe
The focus of Beginning Pointe is to continue to strengthen the foot and ankle through a series of stretches and exercise. They will then partake in several barre exercises to enhance proper foot, leg, and body placement while on pointe.

Requirement to register for this class: Completion of Pre-Pointe or must be approved by Artistic Director

Itty Bitty Tumble
Itty Bitty Tumble will allow students to partake in class with a parent or assigned guardian assisting them in the movements. If you have multiple children, one adult must attend per child. This class will NOT participate in showcase.

Pre-Pointe
Pointe technique is the part of classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet within pointe shoes. A pointe dancer must have strong feet, ankles, and proper ballet technique. The focus of Pre-Pointe is to understand how to properly use the foot and strengthen the foot and ankle. During this class the dancers will learn the parts of the pointe shoe. Before pointe shoes are approved for purchase, dancers will have to pass a performance and written examination.

This class is by INVITATION ONLY. Please contact the artistic director if you feel you are ready for pointe.

This level will run through a list of skills weekly and build confidence through conditioning in strength and flexibility. Many of the more difficult skills require drills to help with body awareness and muscle memory.
