This is a mixed level class (please discuss with Ms. Tamra prior to enrolling). This is catered mainly to our competition team dancers, but is open to recreational students according to availability.

In this class we explore different and unique ways to move our bodies through movement and dance, along with learning basic choreographic elements on "how" to choreograph and compose a dance piece.

This is for competition dancers either level 1 and higher, or ages 10 and up, to work on leaps, turns, extensions, and more in order to grow our team dancers as pre-professional dancers.

Dancers must be age 7 and up, and have one year previous dance experience.

Welcome to our beginner contemporary dance class! In this class, you will explore the expressive and fluid movements of contemporary dance, combining elements of various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, and modern dance.

Our class will begin with a gentle warm-up to loosen up your body and prepare you for movement. You will then learn basic contemporary dance techniques, focusing on fluidity, musicality, and emotional expression. We will work on developing your strength, flexibility, and coordination through a series of exercises and combinations.

Throughout the class, you will have the opportunity to improvise and create your own movements, allowing you to connect with your body and emotions in a unique way. Our goal is to encourage self-expression and creativity while learning the fundamentals of contemporary dance.

We also cover the basics of leaps, turns, extensions, and choreography. This is a great class if taking your dance to the next level is something you are wanting to do.

We will start each class with a thorough ballet barre warm-up, where you will learn the fundamental positions, movements, and terminology of ballet. Through a series of exercises, you will work on developing your strength, flexibility, and alignment while honing your coordination and musicality.

As we move to the center floor, you will have the opportunity to practice ballet combinations that incorporate basic steps such as pliés, tendus, dégagés, and more. Emphasis will be placed on proper body alignment, turnout, and gracefulness in movement.

Throughout the class, you will be encouraged to express yourself through the beauty and precision of ballet technique, while also fostering a sense of artistry and storytelling through movement. Our goal is to instill a love for ballet and provide you with a solid foundation to continue your dance journey.

This is the beginning of our technical dance program, when enrolling in our Pre Level Program, all dancers are required to take TWO dance classes per week, you may take these on the same day, or spilt them.

Throughout the class, students will focus on building a strong foundation in ballet technique, including learning basic positions, movements, and terminology. Through a series of fun and engaging exercises, children will develop their coordination, balance, flexibility, and musicality while honing their skills in a structured and disciplined setting.

Our experienced instructors will guide students through a variety of ballet exercises and combinations, helping them to understand the importance of proper body alignment, turnout, and posture. Children will also have the chance to express themselves through movement, creativity, and storytelling, fostering their imagination and artistry.

While parents do not stay and watch this class, they can rest assured that their child is in good hands, receiving quality instruction and support from our dedicated teaching staff. Our goal is to create a positive and nurturing environment where young dancers can thrive, grow, and develop a passion for ballet that will last a lifetime.

In Ballet Fundamentals, students will delve deeper into the world of ballet, learning key movements, positions, and terminology that form the building blocks of classical ballet technique. Through a series of exercises and drills, children will work on refining their leg and foot placement, turnout, and alignment, helping them to develop the strength, control, and precision required for ballet.

Our experienced instructors will guide students through a variety of exercises that target the legs and feet, helping them to improve their flexibility, coordination, and balance. By focusing on these key areas, students will not only enhance their technical skills but also develop a deeper understanding of the artistry and discipline of ballet.

Specifically, students learn a technical ballet barre, the learn center ballet positions, petite allegro, turns, and they start working on increasing extensions. This class only begins introducing port de bra (movement of the arms) towards the end of the season so we can really focus on getting those legs strong for dancing.

In Acro Fundamentals, students will learn a variety of basic acrobatic movements, including rolls, balances, handstands, cartwheels, and more. To enroll in this class students must have Pre Acro experience, they must be able to do backend walks, cartwheels, headstands on the wall, and handstands on the wall. If you are enrolling in an acrobatics class, you must be enrolled in a ballet class.
