The Lake City Kids is a performance team coached by CS director Heather Van Arsdel. The team is comprised of male and female dancers ages 7-12 years old. They learn and perfect actual NBA kid friendly dance routines and perform them all over the Champlain Valley. It's a wonderful, nurturing environment that really helps your little one build confidence, performance and leadership skills. By invite only.
Requirements: Members are required to enroll in a technique class.

Students in this level should have already had base of beg. gym. They work to build skills needed to move up to (3). This is floor gymnastics only. No apparatuses.
Students MUST be able to do a (front/back walk-overs, one-handed cartwheels, handstands) unassisted to be able to move up to the next level (3).

This class will focus on perfecting floor skills and working towards a back-hand sprang. This is floor gymnastics only. No apparatuses.
Students will work towards back hand springs / flips or tucks and towards more advanced floor skills.

Course Description: It's a two for one! This ballet/tap combo class introduces students to two very different styles of dance, yet work well together. Ballet is a dancer’s best friend when it comes to gaining and maintaining technique. There are different styles of classical ballet that are related to their areas of creation; French, Italian, or Russian methods. Our teachers come from various backgrounds and will teach a fusion of classical ballet techniques including the American Ballet Theatre curriculum. Tap is fun on it's own, teaching isolation and beats. Combine the two and your little dancer is off and running!

Course Description: Contemporary dance is a blend for the technically trained dancer; some describe it as a release from both modern and jazz. Contemporary dance is unique to the choreographer you decide to take from. Within each class you are guaranteed an emotional release as much as a technical push of your abilities as a dancer. This movement tells a story, compelling dancers to connect movement with emotion.

HOT MAMA'S (Adult Dance)
Course Description: All encompassing adult class combing fitness, hip hop and sexy heels. We switch it up week to week so adults can gain experience in different styles. Typically a beg class, but more advanced adults are welcome.
What is heels? Heels will incorporate genres of pop, jazz, grooves and hip hop! This class can be done with or without heels (heels recommended) and it puts a strong emphasis on musicality and interpretation of the music and its rhythm. It's also a little.. sexy.

Course Description: Tumble Tykes tumbling classes are a great way to help your child develop strength and flexibility, as well as concentration skills. Tumbling and gymnastics is also a very social sport, and your child is likely to make new friends along the way. They will develop positive associations with exercise.

Course Description: This 45 minute yoga class for kids is to practice mindfulness, body awareness, strength, and creativity. Each student will have one parent attend and take class with them. A great class for bonding with your little ones through yoga partner poses, follow-along movement songs, and animal poses all with an emphasis on creativity and fun! This class works best for children 18 months up to 4 years old. This 6 week session will run Jan 12th - Feb 23rd. (no class on 2/20 for winter break)
