Hip Hop (Intermediate/Advanced)
Hip hop dance is a great way to express oneself, and showcase their style and creativity in a way that is uniquely their own. Students will learn not only hip hop routines but also popular hip hop line dances as well as breakdance. Breakdancing involves acrobatic and athletic movements, such as spins and flips. (Please note this class begins Oct 9)
This class will be a part of our Spring Recital as well as the opportunity for community events as well.

Ballet (Intermediate/Advanced)
Ballet improves posture, flexibility, balance, self-discipline, and confidence. Students are taught the proper body placement and alignment, which is essential for avoiding injury and improving technique. With barre and center floor work, students learn a range of movements that are combined into across the floor combinations.
This class will be a part of our Spring Recital as well as the opportunity for community events as well.
For Ladies:

Jazz dance is an upbeat style where students are constantly moving. Jazz Dance improves strength, flexibility, and conditioning through a. variety of progressions including turns, kicks, and leaps, which can be used in many different forms of dance. This class will be a part of our Spring Recital as well as the opportunity for community events as well.
For Ladies:

Contemporary (Intermediate/Advanced)
Contemporary is a fusion of ballet, jazz, modern, and lyrical. It is known for its versatility, incorporating floor work, improvisation, and a range of body lines and dynamic movements.Dancers are given the freedom to interpret the music and movement in their own unique way. This creates a sense of spontaneity and improvisation that is rare in other dance forms.
This class will be a part of our Spring Recital as well as the opportunity for community events as well.
For Ladies:
Shoes: Half Sole Dance Shoes
Attire: Leotard, Tights. Leggings or shorts acceptable

Jazzy Tumble
This class is a fun and energetic program that combines the fundamentals of Jazz and Tumble. This class particpates in the Spring Recital and additional opportunities to perform at community events.
For ladies, wear black leather slip on Jazz shoes and a leotard with tights. Leggings or shorts are acceptable as well. Make sure to tie your hair back in a ponytail, and please note that sweatshirts are only allowed during warmup and must be removed 5 minutes after class begins.
For gentlemen, black leather slip on Jazz shoes and neutral-colored pants are recommended. A plain shirt with no letters or large logos is also appropriate. Be sure to pull your hair out of your face, and keep in mind that sweatshirts are only allowed during warmup and must be removed 5 minutes after class begins.

Our Intro To Dance is the perfect class for younger students to begin their journey into the “big kid”world of dance. While still using props and play from time to time, this next step in our program is to begin more serious training while keeping the fun still in the classroom. Students will begin learning to dance at the ballet barre and learn proper terminology. Students will also learn tap combination steps such as
time steps and other more challenging rhythms. This class will be a part of our Spring Recital as well as the opportunity for community events as well.
For female students, the required shoes are pink leather ballet slippers and black buckle tap shoes. Students must wear a leotard with tights, although leggings or shorts are also acceptable. Hair must be pulled back into a ponytail, and sweatshirts are only permitted for a warm-up and must be removed five minutes after class begins.
For male students, black leather ballet slippers and black oxford tie tap shoes are required. Neutral-colored pants and a plain shirt with no letters or large logos are also required. The class will be a part of our Spring Recital, as well as other community events, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their skills.

All Stars (Accessible Dance)
All Stars is a unique program designed exclusively for all dancers to dance. We welcome all dancers who are passionate about dancing, regardless of their ability to dance independently. Not only will your dancer have the opportunity to learn and grow in our classes, but they will also have the chance to showcase their talent in our Spring Recital. Our program also provides opportunities for community events, giving your dancer the chance to perform and connect with others. At MDA, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to pursue their passion for dance. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters growth, creativity, and friendship.

This fun class is a combination of Theatre and Movement. Students will perform routines from musical through various forms of the arts including acting, dancing, speaking lines and singing. This class is also a part of our recital as well as community events.

Practice begins Wednesday, November 13. Some Fridays may be reqiuired for practice. All participants must be registered in at least one class (Jazz, Hip Hop, or Acro) to participate in the Performance Team. $45 per month in addition to tuition. Must purchase costume/jersey required $100 due December 11. All dancers are welcome to participate. Tickets to each game must be purchaed for both dancer and family/friends

Stretch/Dance Conditioning
Ballet Stretch class serves not only as a ballet technique class but will also build strength and improve flexibility, strength and mobility. The class focus is on developing a wider range of motion and strength for your joints while toning, refining, and lengthening your key muscle groups. Barre work, center as well as deep intensive stretching are the fundamentals of this class. This is a non-performance class.
