This is a great class for musical theater participants, boys on the competition team or boys who just want to see what dance is all about - but maybe not in a room full of girls! This class is for older dancers with extensive ballet training, including pointe work.

At AIM, we only incorporate clean and age-appropriate hip hop movement. Hip hop is an important dance style, but did not originate with the inappropriate and overly mature moves we see in videos, etc. today. DD is a Cavs Scream Team dancer and does a great job of providing kid-friendly instruction.
This class is for older dancers with hip hop experience.
This class is for young dancers with little or no hip hop experience.

Lyrical (formerly known as lyrical jazz) is a style that is slower, more "flowy," and expressive than classical jazz, but still is grounded in ballet technique. Dancers often enjoy the emotional, dramatic aspects of lyrical. While not required, concurrent or previous enrollment in ballet would be very helpful in mastering lyrical movements.
This class is for dancers approximately ages 8-12 with some lyrical experience. Dancers this age with ballet or jazz experience but no lyrical experience would also be comfortable in this class.

Pointe - Advanced
Pointe dancers use special shoes with hardened "boxes" around the toes. Young dancers aspiring to start pointe work in the future should start ballet training now! A dancer's strength and mastery of ballet technique is evaluated before she may enroll in a pointe class.
Pointe dancers are required to take 2 ballet classes a week.
Registration with permission only.

Musical theatre class is a fun way to learn about some Broadway musicals, work on dance for theatre and incorporate some acting into your repertoire. This is open to any interested dancers (over age 5 recommended), including dancers looking for help with future theatre auditions.
