Intermediate II Ballet
This class is for students who have mastered the basic intermediate level and are able to demonstrate clean barre technique, single pirouettes, and strong balance. Students at this level should also be able to easily learn more complex combinations. Each class consists of barre work, stretches, and center floor work (petite allegro, grand allegro, adage, turns, and pirouettes). Students will also combine more complex movements to travel across the floor. At the end of each class, students will learn a short dance combination using the steps learned in class.

Advanced Youth Tap
Students may enroll in advanced tap once they have mastered the intermediate level. Students must be able to quickly learn choreography and dance combinations, as well as execute them with clean tap sounds, good timing, and strong upper body posture. Each class consists of a tap barre, center floor steps that focus on perfecting clear, fast sounds, and traveling steps across the floor that aid in developing balance and posture. The final 15-20 minutes of class consist of learning a short dance combination using the steps learned in class.

Intermediate Adult Ballet
Ballet helps to tone and stretch the body while improving balance and posture. This class is designed for adult students who have been introduced to the basics of ballet and are ready to progress to the next level. Each class will consist of barre work, stretches, and basic center floor work (simple petite allegro, waltz steps, beginning turns and pirouettes). Students will also begin to combine movements to travel across the floor. At the end of each class, students will learn a short dance combination using the steps learned in class.

Students that have mastered the basics of tap should enroll in this class to increase their repertoire of tap steps and to improve their rhythm and musicality. Students will begin to learn more complex steps, as well as combine these steps to travel across the floor. Each class begins with a tap barre followed by center floor steps that focus on developing balance and posture. The final 15-20 minutes of class consist of learning a short dance combination using the steps learned in class.

Students will learn basic Luigi-style jazz, along with contemporary, hip-hop, and Broadway dance moves. Each class begins with a full-body warm-up consisting of strengthening, stretching, and balancing exercises, followed by isolations and traveling movements across the floor. The final 15-20 minutes of class consist of learning a more complex dance combination using the steps learned in class.

This 50-55 minute class is designed to introduce young children to the styles of ballet and tap through the use of fun and exciting movements, songs, activities, and stretches. Students will build balance, coordination, and rhythm, while developing a healthy, positive self-image.

Students will learn the basics of ballet, including correct terminology, appropriate body positioning, and proper technique, in a positive and energetic atmosphere. Students will learn and explore the seven types of movement (bending, gliding, darting, stretching, jumping, turning, and rising), while building balance, coordination, and rhythm.

Students may enroll in advanced jazz once they have been evaluated by their instructor to determine that they have mastered intermediate-level jazz technique and can safely participate in the class. Students must be able to demonstrate clean double pirouettes, strong jumps, and high kicks, as well as be able to learn advanced choreography quickly. Each class begins with a full-body warm-up consisting of strengthening, stretching, and balancing exercises, followed by isolations and traveling movements across the floor. The final 15-20 minutes of class consist of learning a more complex dance combining turns, jumps, kicks, isolations and style-specific moves.

Students should take this class once they have become more proficient at learning complex dance combinations quickly and with clean technique. Students at this level should be able to demonstrate clean double pirouettes, grand jeté en tournant, saut de chat, and grand pas de chat. Students should also be able to perform petite allegro with battement. Each class consists of barre work, stretches, center floor work, traveling movements across the floor, and a short dance combination using the steps learned in class.

The final 15-20 minutes of class consist of learning a short dance combination using the steps learned in class.

Students may enroll in advanced ballet once they have been evaluated by their instructor to determine they can safely participate in the class. Proper technique and strength are required to enroll in these classes. Students will be required to perform triple pirouettes, petite and grand allegro with battements, brisé, saut de basque, grand pas de chat, etc. Students must be able to acquire choreography quickly and cleanly, as well as demonstrate musicality with their dancing. Pre-pointe, beginner pointe, and intermediate pointe work will be incorporated into this class.
