Argentine Tango 6 Week Series
Argentine tango is a passionate dance that originated in Buenos Aires. It is a fantastic dance for new students to learn because it allows the dancers to understand and practice the concept of leading and following which is the most important concept for a social dancer to master. At a beginner level the steps are very simple and the focus is on moving with your partner to the music. Anyone can learn to dance when it is taught in a simplistic way. The first class of each series will cover the most basic skills of that dance, and each of the following classes will build on the skills learned in the previous week. By the end of the series students will have a full routine that they can dance with confidence. Classes are open to all students, both couples and singles. DRESS CODE: Students are asked to wear comfortable clothing that they can move in easily. While any shoe is acceptable for a beginner level, a shoe with a smooth sole that stays on the foot is best. For this reason tennis shoes, work boots, and sandals are discouraged.
