Jazz for 4.5 - 6 yr. old's. Have you got a child who can’t stop tapping his or her toes and just loves to dance? Calling all 'rays of sunshine' to gather their friends, explore and sprinkle their dance magic together!
DCM'S JAZZ MAGIC classes are energetic and fun, and will certainly get your child up and moving!
Popular music is used while little dancers explore their unique way of moving.
What will they learn?
They will learn body isolations, stretching, flexibility, turning, leaping and more. Kept at an age appropriate pace, to music they know and love, we will develop their musical appreciation, physical expression, co-ordination, spatial awareness, memory, dance movement repertoire and ability.

Jazz/Pop TUES
Jazz Pop dance classes break down the popular moves you see on you tube into easy to follow actions. Experience catchy routines with a sassy flair along with a great workout. Jazz combines style & techniques from a variety of popular dance forms. Build confidence and technical ability such as turns, kicks, leaps and body isolations.

Acro THURS Level 1 - Level 3
Please check with the teacher before enrolling into this class if you ARE NEW
TO DCM. Level 1- Level 3 is the second class progression from Primary - Level 1 Acrobatics. Children will learn the mechanics of falling and catching, bridges (backbends), cartwheels, handstand kick ups, balancing, working with partners/groups and more, all under the supervision of a qualified trainer. Skills become more physically challenging in this class. Children will also learn more about their muscle groups and correct stretching techniques to improve and strengthen acrobatic skills. This class continues to focus on safe progressions in flexibility, strength, balance, limbering and tumbling.

Level 3 + Acrobatics continues to focus on safe development of skills in flexibility, strength, balance, limbering and tumbling. In this class there is an increase in difficulty in all skills. From one handed cartwheels to handstand walking to aerials. Our students love the large 6 metre Air Trak Mat used in this class which provides safety when trying new tricks. It's in these levels that 'drills for skills' become ever so important.

A fun filled class of energetic movements on the floor and across our acrobatic mat. We do some songs to age appropriate music, warming up, stretching, progressions across the room including donkey kicks, bear walks, skips, marching, galloping and basic turning skills. DRESS CODE: Students must wear the DCM Acro uniform which comprises of a top and tights, details of how to order will be given in class. Tight fitting clothing is necessary for safety when being corrected for placement by teacher. Hair must be tied back so that they cannot get it caught or tangled in any way when they are doing their tricks.

There are two Wednesday classes same Acro level - please check your start time: DCM is a certified Acrobatic Arts studio. Acrobatic Arts is an internationally recognised program. Primary Level is the introduction to Acrobatics in a 12 Level program. Great for boys and girls, it’s designed to promote excellence in flexibility, strength, balance, limbering and tumbling. This class is high energy and lots of fun. We place a strong focus on the students comprehension of the terminology of the skill as well as the physical movement. Primary to level 1 is where all beginners to Acro should commence unless coming from another dance style training background. In this case the teacher will assess the student before placement to class. Kids learn in a safe environment and work towards such skills as cartwheels, all under the supervision of a qualified trainer.
