Acro TUES Level 1 - 3
DCM is a certified Acrobatic Arts studio. Acrobatic Arts is an internationally recognised program. Acrobatic Arts is a 12 Level program then follows on to pre-professional. It is designed to promote excellence in flexibility, strength, balance, limbering and tumbling and has a very safe progressive focus to the skills to ensure students are successful. This class is high energy and is perfectly balanced between learning and fun. We place a strong focus on the student's comprehension of the terminology of the skill as well as the physical movement. Primary to level 1 is usually where all beginners to Acro should commence unless coming from another dance style training background however older students may move passed primary quicker as they can watch and copy and learn faster than younger students. The teacher will always assess the student and change placement if necessary. Children learn in a safe environment and work towards such skills as cartwheels, all under the supervision of a qualified trainer. Hair must be tied back neatly so it is not caught or tangled in any way when they are doing their tricks.

Set to age-appropriate music, this class incorporates lively songs, warm-ups, and stretches, progressing to dynamic activities like donkey kicks, bear walks, skips, marching, galloping, and basic turning skills.
Initially, the focus is on circle learning, ensuring each child's success before advancing to straight-line travels and turn-taking. Visual station cards in bright colors guide students in replicating positions or actions, making the learning experience engaging and rewarding.
Children eagerly collect stickers on their report cards, celebrating achievements with well-earned certificates. Parents and children kick off the class by marching together onto a magical mat, fostering a delightful start to the session. As the class concludes, children enthusiastically wave goodbye.
