This class will challenge a student’s memory as well as coordination. In a tap class, the students will typically do a group warm up followed by learning new sequenced steps. In this class as the instructor I will take my time with each student to ensure they are picking up the rhythms and sounds correctly thus ensuring that the whole group will create a cohesive rhythm piece when performed as choreography.

Dancers must be recommended by their ballet teacher to be enrolled in the class based on technique, strength, and consistency in class attendance.

Pre-pointe is a technique class only (no recital dance) and must be taken in conjunction with the dancer’s appropriate ballet class. This class does not participate in our Winter or Spring Recital.
