Acro 1
Acrodance is a unique technique of acrobatics and tumbling used to further a dancers training and add texture to typical Jazz and Contemporary dance. This class follows the Acrobatic Arts Acro Dance Syllabus and incorporates partnering skills, strength and flexibility, contortion, limbering and tumbling skills. Dancers will wear a leotard with shorts and convertible or footless tights. Hair must be in a bun. Dancers must be enrolled in a Jazz or Ballet class to participate in Acro. Levels are assessed according to age, experience, and technical capabilities.

This class focuses on building strength and flexibility for our dancers using safe and effective methods. Methods used will follow the EBAS and Alixa Flexibility program by a certified teacher. These methods are based on the newest research in sports medicine and utilize the body's own natural capabilities to help dancers reach their fullest potential safely.

This class is specifically designed to help dancers improve in the areas of leaps and turns for both Ballet and Jazz techniques. Dancers will explore new variations of turns and leaps, as well as build a strong foundation in the basics. Classes will be focused on building strength and flexibility, coordination and alignment, as well as balance and stability. This class is recommended for any dancer who would like to gain ability in these areas. This includes the beginner who may be struggling to understand balance and alignment, and the advanced dancer hoping to gain strength and rotations, or learn new variations.
