This short 3-week session is perfect for dancers that have been missing the studio but can’t commit to a full session. We will have a super small class with extra safety precautions for our youngest dancers. This class also has a drop-in option where you can select only the classes you are able to attend. This class covers dance basics for kids that love moving to the music, it’s fun and upbeat, perfect for new and returning dancers.

Jumps and Turns - Level 1
10 Week Program: June 10 - Aug 12
Dancers have 1-2 years training in jazz or ballet.
We will be developing the following skills primarily:
• Jumps: grand jete, straddle jump, sisson, step hop in jazz retire, arabesque, in second and in a tilt.
• Turns: single and double pirouette, soutenue, pose, chaine and double chaine
Each class, we will also have fun new combinations to learn and apply our new skills. This program will drive your dancer's technique to the next level. It's a fantastic way to prepare for auditions or to find out if your child is ready for a more intensive program in the fall.

Wednesday Class: 10 Week Program: June 10 - Aug 12 (This class is also available on Saturdays)
Pre-requisite Skills: front walkover or limber and back walkover or limber
We will focus on developing:
• Tumbling: back handspring, aerial and variations
• Flexibility and Contortion: scorpion, leg hold, bridge variations
• Connecting skills: combinations and variations of dance and acro skills
Each class will focus primarily on developing acro skills and we recommend dancers also take a flexibility class because conditioning time will be limited.

Dancers have at least 3 years of jazz training and must have double pirouette and grand jete (if unsure of placement, please send video)
We will focus on developing:
• Jumps: jete/switch split, calypso jump, Baryshnikov, tilt jump, tour, straddle jump variations
• Turns: improving pirouette- increasing repetitions, fouette, grand pirouette and variations/combos
Each class will have combinations of jump and turn variations, with new material each week that will challenge students all summer long. This class is the perfect way to prepare for auditions on the lyrical, contemporary, jazz or acro teams.

This drop-in class is easy to follow, fun and a great workout. Dancing is a great way to dissolve stress and bring joy to your day – just try one class – we know you’ll be back! This is a 3-week program for now, but classes can be added later on.

Flexibility and Balance - Level 2

No pre-requisite skills: each dancer will receive an individualized stretching plan that focuses on areas they need to improve.
We will focus on developing:
• Splits, leg hold, needle, scorpion
• Headstands, handstand, chest stand, elbow stand and variations
• Improving Extensions: arabesque, tilt, attitude, a la seconde.

Hip Hop - Teen
Thursdays June 11- Aug 13
Fun, high energy class for teens only. Work on your groove, isolations, and hits to elevate your hip hop game next season. Learn new combos each week. This class will be run like a workshop - it’s open to all levels, newbies will be able to follow combos and experienced dancers will be challenged with layers in the choreography.

Movers and Shakers
Saturdays June 13 - Aug 15
This class is a combination of beginner jazz and lyrical dance. Jazz is high energy movement with personality and style set to age-appropriate pop music. Lyrical dance is about telling a story and expressing yourself through movement to passionate power ballads. If your child loves belting out songs and dancing around the living room, this class will be like a dream come true!

Saturday Class: June 13 - Aug 15
No pre-requisite skills: dancers should have a minimum of 1-2 years dance or gymnastics experience.
We will focus on developing:
• Balances: headstand, handstand, chest stand, elbow stand
• Flexibility: bridges, leg holds, splits
• Skills: cartwheel, bridge recover, kick over, front and back walkover, limber and variations
Each class will focus primarily on developing acro skills and we recommend dancers also take a flexibility class because conditioning time will be limited.
