Summer 2024 - Musical Theatre Workshops
Second Act! Musical Theatre Workshop - 2024
Our Second Act! program focuses on ensemble musical theater skills such as singing, dancing, and acting. We learn a new song and dance each day, play theater games, and work to build self-confidence and teamwork. At the end of the two weeks we present a final revue-style showcase on the historic Academy stage.
Our Summer Musical Theatre Workshops are for kids & teens who are excited about Musical Theatre and the performing arts, and want to learn more about the theatre and meet other kids who love musicals too!
This program is intended to train students in the practice of performance skills in singing, dancing, and acting for Musical Theatre, and to nurture each child’s self-esteem while fostering self-discipline and growth in developing physical/artistic ability, creative thinking, and collaborative experiences.
We offer each child the thrill of participating in performing with others on the Academy of Music stage where some of history’s greatest performers have appeared over the past century. Workshop directors are accomplished educators and performers who are passionate about the craft and the learning process behind every theatre experience.
No prior experience is necessary, just a love and excitement for the performing arts! Come be a part of the show!

Spotlight! Musical Theatre Intensive - 2024
Spotlight is a very rewarding experience designed for the driven performer and encourages risk-taking on stage. Students can expect to be challenged as both an ensemble and solo performers during this workshop to push their musical theatre skills beyond our work during Encore! This workshop’s fast-paced and supportive feel is targeted to individual’s performance goals and mimics a real audition and callback process to help performers build confidence in solo & audition settings.
**The Spotlight! Intensive varies from the Encore! workshop, and students ages 13+ can register for both Encore and the Spotlight Intensive.**
