Combo Class 3 and 4 Year Olds
In this introduction to dance we will learn very basic vocabulary, the importance of stretching, and work on coordination. In ballet and jazz we'll be skipping, leaping, and twirling along to fun music, and using fun props to add to the fun. In tap we'll learn basic steps while practicing rhythm and sounds. We'll also learn the basics of class etiquette such as listening, following directions, and respecting others.

Ballet Level 1 Technique (Beginning)
Ballet Level 1 - (Generally ages 7 and up) In Ballet 1, young dancers will learn the fundamentals of classical ballet. Class will focus on basic ballet technique, proper body alignment, French terminology and musicality. The first half of the class will be spent at the barre where young dancers will learn introductory ballet barre exercises. In the second half of class, dancers will move away from the barre and learn stretching exercises to increase flexibility. Dancers will then learn port de bras, transition steps (to learn how to shift weight from one foot to another and to change direction within a combination) and basic petite allegro and grand allegro. The class will end with a Révérance.

Ballet 4 Technique (Intermediate young teens)
Ballet Level 4 Technique - Dancers will start class at the barre to work on classical technique, artistic movements, executing combinations at different musical tempos and on different musical counts. They will build strength and learn how to put several steps together while smoothly transferring their weight and holding correct posture and body placement. Focus will be on building core strength. Center work will consist of an adagio, a tendu combination, jumps – including petit allegro and batterie, and pirouette preparations and turns. Dancers will work on attitude positions, as well as, develop their grande rond de jambe and rond de jambe en l’air. Corner work will consist of jumps, waltz, and various traveling combinations, including grande allegro, kept in time to the music

Ballet 4 Pre-Pointe (Intermed Level)
Pre-Pointe 4 - This class is for Pre-pointe and Beginner Pointe students. Pre-pointe students will execute all exercises on demi-pointe to strengthen calves, ankles, and arches and will learn how demi-pointe steps will be executed once on pointe. Exercises for students will begin at the barre and progress to the center to master balance and increase strength.

Contemporary/Lyrical Level 1/2/3 (Beginning/Intermed)
Contemporary Beg/Intermediate (Level 1/2/3) - Built upon the foundations laid by Modern dance, this form focuses on self-expression. Classes emphasize rhythm, design, shape & motion in space, with deliberate use of gravity. Dancers often use their body weight to enhance movement. Students will learn how to express a wide range of emotions through their dance based on musical interpretation. Contemporary combinations will consist of abstract movements that combine modern and classical ballet elements. Students will learn how to quickly change tempo and create sharp and clean transitions.

Tap Levels 4/5/6 (Intermed/Advanced Levels)
Tap 4-6 (intermediate/adv) - In this class, Students learn tap-rhythms, sounds, and combinations. Students progress with riffs, pullbacks, time steps, complex turns, and extensive warm-up. Students will demonstrate the ability to build speed while keeping the clarity of their taps clean. Add all this to more complicated combinations and intricate dance routines, and this becomes a fun and challenging class.

Tap Levels 1/2/3 (Beginning/Intermed Levels)
Tap Beg/Intermediate (Level 1/2/3) This class develops the elements of tap dance vocabulary, musicality and individual style. Emphasis is placed on coordination, clarity, rhythm, timing & phrasing. Students will demonstrate the ability to build speed while keeping the clarity of their taps clean. Add all this to more complicated combinations and intricate dance routines, and this becomes a fun and challenging class.

Ballet Level 2/3 Technique (Begin/Intermed Levels)
Ballet 2-3 Technique - Students will concentrate on graceful movements, expression, and musical understanding. They will build strength, coordination, and technique. They will also learn assemblé, ronds de jambe á terre, battement fondue, changement de pieds, jeté in croisé and éfface, battement frappé, and ronds de jambe en l’air. Center work will consist of an adagio, a tendu combination, jumps – including petit allegro and batterie, and pirouette preparations and turns. Corner work will consist of jumps, waltz, and various traveling combinations, including grande allegro, kept in time to the music.

Jazz Level 1/2/3 (Begin/Intermed Levels)
Jazz Beg/Intermediate (Levels 1-3) - Classes consist of a warm-up to enhance core strengthening, balance, and extensions through isolations, rhythmic exercises, and floor stretches. Along with across the floor patterns. Exercises focus on increasing flexibility and strength, rhythms and isolation of body parts, and expressing personal style. Students study jazz technique and learn to build complex combinations and routines.

Jazz Intermediate/Adv (Levels 4-6) - This high energy class includes warm-ups, core strengthening, stretches, center work & across the floor turn and jump exercises. Proper alignment, balance & technique are taught in a fun, encouraging environment. Students study jazz technique and learn to build complex combinations and routines. Class includes across the floor patterns. These classes are great for dancers who like precision and rhythm, physical challenges, and personal style and expression.
