Starts Sept. 3rd, 2024
Performance/Novice Team open to new and returning students 7-11yrs. 7-8yrs w/exp; no experience is required ages 9-11yrs. They will perform throughout the season and the summer. Students will be required to purchase a costume to wear for performances. Commitment is from September (or the month they join) through May classes and Summer Performances. Performing is required.
Optional- The team will have the option of going to 1 local competition in Nampa and the chance to then go to a Nationals competition in Utah. Competiting is completly optional and is not required. At least 3 team members would be needed to go to competition. Once qualified to go to Nationals they would still not be required to go. Those choosing to go to Nationals would however be required to have already competed locally with the team.
Dancers learn fun routines and clogging steps. Varied activities center around rhythm, basic steps, performing skills and developing confidence. Black/White Clog or Tap Shoes needed (available at the studio). Focus is on performing and mastering dances similar to how a competition team would.
