New and returning dancers 8-12 years old. Dancers learn fun routines and clogging steps. Varied activities center around rhythm, basic steps, performing skills and developing confidence. Rec students will need to purchase a GC t-shirt to wear for performances. Performing is strongly encouraged, but optional. Black/White Clog or Tap Shoes needed (available at the studio).
(Performance Team opportunities can be found for new and returning dancers ages 8+ in our Sapphires class. Sapphires will have a competition option as well.)

Students will be required to purchase a costume to wear for performances. Comittment is from September (or the month they join) through May classes and Summer Performances.
Optional- The team will have the option of going to 1 local comempetition in Nampa and the chance to then go to a Nationals competition in Utah. Competiting is completly optional and is not required. At least 3 team members would be needed to go to competition. Once qualified to go to Nationals they would still not be required to go. Those choosing to go to Nationals would however be required to have already competed locally with the team.
