It is compulsory for students to wear their Rockit uniform to class. You can purchase a uniform on Saturdays during school terms between 9am and 1pm from reception.

Students must wear appropriate dance shoes to class. Ballet= ballet shoes, Lyrical = toe socks, Acrobatics = bare feet, Hip Hop and Breaking = black sneakers, Jazz = black jazz shoes, Tap = Black Capezio tap shoes.

Students with long hair, must come to class with it tied back securely. No loose ponytails, they spend of all class fiddling with their hair.

Breaking (now an Olympic sport) is a powerful and energetic form of dance.

This is a great introductory class for beginners to breaking.

Once learning the various steps such as top rocks, down rocks and power moves, students improvise their own choreography in a cypher.

It's a great form of dance for those who don't want to do traditional styles of dance, yet still have a unique way to express themselves.

Advanced Acrobatics is an invitation only class. It is suitable for students who have completed all of the skills in the Cadet, Primary, Junior and Open Acrobatic classes.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be a change of class time during the term so both the Open Acro and Advanced Acro can rehearse their partner lifts together. Families will receive notice when this happens.

Rockit Youth Dance Company - the perfect blend of dance for those aged 17+ who would love to continue to move. We are blending a number of styles together into performance pieces. Come socialise and keep up your dance skills.

This is a positive empowerment program for students aged 16+. It is designed to help students discover their self-confidence.

Diversity Dance Company (all abilities)
Diversity Dance Company is the perfect opportunity for dancers with and without disabilities to work together. A unique and truly inspiring dance company comprised of young people and adults aged 12+.

This company perform in each of Rockit's productions as well as a local dance competition.

This company meets weekly to express their feelings through dance (fabulous for those who struggle to express feelings through words). Performance pieces focus on matters relating to the dancers daily lives.

Students are selected to join this company, so please speak with the Director if you are interested. It is also suitable and meaningful for siblings.

Students are required to wear their Rockit uniform, along with bare feet.

Adult Contemporary (Beginner to Intermediate)
This is a beginner dance class focusing on contemporary dance. Students will learn performance routines with social justice subject matter. This is a wonderful class that is inclusive of all abilities and focuses on social interaction alongside performance.

Students to wear loose comfortable clothing they can easily move in. We recommend dancing in socks or toe socks (which can be purchased from the studio on Saturdays between 9am and 1pm during school terms).

Advanced - Dynamite Crew (Invitation Only)
Dynamite Crew is one of Rockit's Advanced programs. It is invitation only and suitable for ages 5 to 13 years.

Please note the time change for Term 3.

It is compulsory for Dynamite students to attend their weekly technique hip hop class as well as the Dynamite session. The technique classes are decided by age. Please enrol your child into the age appropriate technique class (eg Cadet, Primary or Junior Hip Hop).

Advanced - Ignite (Invitation only)
This is an invitation only program.

To be eligible, students must be enrolled into the following age appropriate classes - ballet, lyrical and acrobatics.

Ignite is an additional program where selected students come together to learn advanced routines that are performed at concerts and local competitions. Costumes are required for each routine students learn. On average, students learn 2 routines per semester = 2 costumes.

Rockit uniforms are compulsory for this class. Students should come prepared each week with ballet shoes, socks or toe socks and their own bottle of water to class. Hair must be tied back securely. No loose pieces hanging across the face.

Boyz Hip Hop Crew
This is Rockit's first Boyz Only hip hop crew. All students participating in the class must attend a weekly technical hip hop class e.g. Cadet Primary or Junior Hip Hop.

This crew will perform in each Rockit concert. A costume for this crew is required.

Students need to wear the black and white Rockit uniform with black sneakers.

Advanced - Impact Crew (Invitation Only)
This is an invitation only hip hop crew. Students must enrol into the Inter/Senior Hip Hop class which provides foundation training. Impact Crew provides advanced training that is only possible if students have perfected their foundations.

Rockit uniforms are compulsory for this class. Students should black old school vans sneakers and bring their own bottle of water to class.

Impact Crew will compete in dance competitions during the October school holidays. A costume for this competition is required. The same costume will be worn for the end of year concert.

Mini Gym
Mini Gym is a program designed for children 12 months to 4 years. Parents come into the studio with their children and engage in a series of songs, dances and development exercises aimed at getting our youngest Rockits taking their first steps toward coordination, balance, music appreciation, creativity and fun. Our program is designed to help our youngest Rockits learn self-confidence, creativity, build imagination skills and develop learning through play. Mini Gym combines dance with creative imagination role play. Each class is a story telling and sensory experience introducing little ones to the joy of performing arts.

This class operates in 10 week blocks following school terms. The Term 3, 2022 session starts Friday August 19 and finishes Friday September 30 with a total of 7 sessions. Fees are $12.50 per session paid in advance for the block of lessons.

RISE Classroom Assistant Training (invite only)
It's time Miss Noni started handing down knowledge to our students preparing them with the skills to one day become teachers themselves. RISE is our assistant student teacher training program. It stands for Respect, Inclusion, Support and Education. Students attend the studio each Saturday morning to learn how to work with the younger students and attend a theory lesson with Miss Noni.

Times may alter here and there so students can gain experience with different ages and classes.

Students will need to wear their RISE t-shirt costing $35. You can order these through DSP.

Black shorts or bike shorts are to be worn with the t-shirt. Students should have bare feet and bring a bottle of water. Hair should be tied back away from the face.

Lyrical is a highly expressive form of dance. This class is best suited to the children who love to dance and want more freedom in their movement than ballet. Students must wear the Mini Rockit uniform (for safety and identification) which consists of the Blue Mini Rockit T-shirt. Pockit Rockit combines dance, drama and creativity into the one class. It has a wholistic approach to education allowing students to explore their worlds through the arts. Each week students go on a different adventure filled with stories and characters. These adventures are weaved into a dance routine which is performed at the mid and end of year concerts.

Students must wear the Pockit Rockit uniform (for safety and identification) which consists of the Blue Mini Rockit T-shirt and pockit rockit skirt. This is available for purchase at our front desk each Saturday between 9am and 1pm during school terms. Black shorts or bike shorts are to be worn under the skirt. Boys are permitted to wear the skirt if they want. Students should have bare feet and bring a bottle of water. Hair should be tied back away from the face.

This gorgeous inclusive class is recommended for students with disabilities who require a carer or SSO at school. They are mixed with incredible students who volunteer their time each week to role model social skills and choreography. The class is filled with both fine and gross motor skill exercises that are weaved into their performance pieces.

This is an invitation only class for students selected to train in advanced levels of ballet, pointe, lyrical and contemporary dance.

All Rockit Fuel students must be enrolled into Intermediate or Senior Ballet, Lyrical and Advanced Acrobatics.

Rockit uniforms are compulsory for this class. Students should come prepared each week with ballet shoes, pointe shoes, toe socks and socks plus bring their own bottle of water to class. Hair must be tied back securely.

Students will learn advanced routines (2 per semester) that are performed in concerts and local concerts. Costumes are required for each routine students learn.
