It is compulsory for students to wear their Rockit uniform to class. You can purchase a uniform on Saturdays during school terms between 9am and 1pm from reception.
Students must wear appropriate dance shoes to class. Ballet= ballet shoes, Lyrical = toe socks, Acrobatics = bare feet, Hip Hop and Breaking = black sneakers, Jazz = black jazz shoes, Tap = Black Capezio tap shoes.
Students with long hair, must come to class with it tied back securely. No loose ponytails, they spend of all class fiddling with their hair.

Students will perform in the mid-year (Term 2) and end of year concerts (Term 4). Please be aware of whole school rehearsals just prior to each performance which require compulsory attendance. If students are unable to perform in a concert, parents/carers must provide 4 weeks notice so changes to routines can be made within a timeline that doesn't stress other students in the class.
For safety, when performing, students cannot wear jewellery or long nails.
COSTUMES
Students do not wear costumes for the mid-year concert. Students wear their Rockit uniform or a positive slogan t-shirt from Rockit.
Costumes are provided for the end of year concert. Fees for this are to be paid at the end of Term 3 and cost approximately $40.
COMMUNICATION
Rockit communicates primarily through email, posters and notices in the foyer and social media channels such as Instagram or Facebook. It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to ensure the correct email address has been provided. You are also responsible for reading posters and notices in the foyer of the studio.
In the lead up to each event, emails will be sent to families and notices will be placed in the studio foyer. Be sure to read the information and mark important dates/times into your diaries.

Please be careful driving through the car park, especially in the evenings. Students can dash out without you seeing them.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS - Classes do not run on public holidays. Should a class fall on a public holiday, students are encouraged to attend a makeup class on another day within the same age range.
This is an advanced program that requires additional commitment. It is compulsory for students to attend the following classes each week:
- Senior Ballet
- Senior Contemporary
- Advanced Acro
- Turns and Leaps
- Pointe
- Pointe
- Rockit Fuel
Each student must provide their own yoga block and theraband. These can be purchased from Kmart.
UNIFORMS - Rockit uniforms are COMPLUSORY for this class.
SHOES - Ballet shoes, half sole shoes, pointe shoes, socks.
HAIR - Hair must be tied back in a ponytail, braid or plaits. No alligator clips or large combs. Hair should be secure for acrobatics.
JEWELLERY AND NAILS - For safety, students should not wear jewellery or long nails to class.
WATER - Students must bring their own water bottle to class each week.

RISE Classroom Assistant Training (invite only)
RISE is our classroom assistant training program. It stands for Respect, Inclusion, Support and Education. Students aged 12+ who are selected for the program, attend one or two lessons per week with the younger students. Miss Noni will select what class each RISE student will work with. During this time, they need to use the skills they learn through our online RISE training program teaching students safe dance warm up, safe stretching, behaviour management and inclusion.
This program is training tomorrow's leaders.
It is compulsory for students to wear a RISE t-shirt or jumper for easy identification when they are working with students.
