Shoulder Workshop

Save Your Shoulders Lab
Save Your Shoulder Lab.
$45 Registration Fee

Sonya Smith and Dr. Noah Volz are collaborating to offer aerialists, climbers and other shoulder-using people tools to assess shoulder strength, prevent injuries and increase your capacity to do what you love.

There are many contexts in which we learn: circles, workshops, collectibles, clubs, and etc. This class is a lab. It is for people who want to actively participate in their learning. If you’re just looking for another lecture then this class is not for you. If you want to get to know your shoulders, and figure out what you can do for your unique shoulders then this class is for you. This will be a lab.

We will begin with the structure and function of the shoulder
You will be learning the same assessment and diagnostic procedures that Dr. Noah Volz uses with patients. This will help you figure out what’s going on with your shoulders now and if it gets injured in the future. Assessments are the most important task a doctor can perform. Then through the assessment they figure out exactly what systems are involved and how those systems are communicating. Then they address their systems. You will have the confidence of understanding your own health.

Sonya Smith will then offer targeted active strength exercises that address common gaps in aerialist's shoulder strength, stability and flexibility.
