Solos
This class is for those who want to do a solo at the Spring Dance Concert. This class will not count toward your monthly tuition. It is the place you sign up and pay to do a solo. After a student signs up and pays in full to do the solo, the private lessons can then be scheduled with the chosen choreographer.

Choreographers currently available are: Jordan Bailey, Valli Duffy, Madalynn ElKouri, Elena Manning, Tannon Meaders, Allee Blake Passmore, Aisha Valle Quinones. Each choreographer decides how many solos they feel comfortable choreographing. Therefore, it is best to make sure the choreographer of your choice is not full before you sign up. Outside choreography is not accepted at the Spring Dance Concert.

Solos are 1:50-2:10 in length. The style and song are generally selected by the dancer and their family, but teachers are generally happy to help select a song and style if you want more input.

Solos must be practiced extensively at home. All the practice cannot take place in the 6 private lessons. It is the dancer's responsibility to practice after each private lesson and know the material before the next lesson.

The fees for a solo are as follows:
Solos are $500. This fee includes the choreography, edited music, 6 private 45 minute lessons (level 6 and level 7 students may choose to do 3 1.5 hour lessons instead of 6 45 minute sessions), and performance at one of our 3 Spring Dance Concerts. Only seniors may perform the same solo at more than 1 show. Seniors please inquire with Ms. Allee regarding the senior discount.

The fee does not include costuming. Costumes may be purchased from a costume company through the studio, or on your own from a retailer of your choice. All costumes must be approved by the choreographer, and checked against our studio list to ensure that no one else has already ordered the same costume, and to make sure it is appropriate for the dancer/style of dance as well as the song.

Solos may be performed at competitions, but those fees are not included.
