AcroDance 2
Ages 10+
AcroDance is an art form that incorporates the fluid movements of dance with the exciting tricks from acrobatics. Students develop the specific strength, flexibility and technique to learn how to use acrobatic tricks in dance choreography. This is where you will see your acrobat’s skills come alive! Students must be currently enrolled in the Acro 2/3 or class held immediately prior to Acro Dance. This serves as the warm-up as well as the technique class for Acro Dance. Students must also be able to perform a standing back bend and recover in order to participate in this class.

Prerequisite: Acro 2.

We'll explore some time honored Olympic traditions and add in some of our camp favorites: Four Corners, Night at the Museum, Ships and Sailors, Freeze Dance, etc., plus minute-to-win-its, dance-offs, puzzles, team competitions, field day activities, board games and so much more.

We’re pulling from all previous camp weeks to offer a crazy mishmash of all the favorite themes! Will you be a red, white and blue wizard who likes to wear flip-flops and do ballet? Maybe you’re a famous pop star planning a space adventure where you’ll teach aliens how to do cartwheels! Perhaps you’ll even team up with a friend and sing “You Can't Stop the Beat” while beading bracelets and practicing your ninja round-house kicks! Your creativity has no limit in our last week of the summer!
