Majorette dancing is high-energy, synchronized, rhythmic dance moves that draw from ballet, jazz, modern dance, hip-hop and gymnastics. Majorette dance places emphasis on physical expression, physical fitness, stamina, and confidence. Majorette classes prepare students to be competitive in the majorette dance world and cultivate daily discipline skills.

STEP TEAM
Stepping is a percussive dance form in which the participant's entire body is used as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand claps. With a rich history in African American music, step requires style, precision, discipline, strength, creativity, and coordination. The participants will learn choreography and will participate in a competition/ performance step team. This class is intended for youth between the ages of 8 and 17.
Materials- None
Wear- tennis shoes, black leggings, black top (no loose fitting clothing/ no jeans)
We will compete in local competitions. Students must attend all practices and pay monthly dues to participate in competition.

LITURGICAL DANCE & MOVEMENT
Designed to connect spiritual expression and dance, the liturgical dance and movement class combines techniques such as Ballet, Modern and African. The class will draw on the theologies of liturgical movement that will enhance "the dance" within faith and worship communities. This class is open to ages 12 years old and above, with an expressed and welcomed invitation to adults.
