Lexi Fontenot
This class will do both jazz and ballet year round but will only do a ballet dance in the recital.

Ballet is the most structured class with emphasis on strength, flexibility, proper placement of the body, balance and form. It is the foundation for all other forms of dance, requiring discipline and coordination.
Jazz teaches quick steps and difficult coordination skills as well as the building blocks for more advanced turns and leaps necessary for more advanced dancing. It also teaches the importance of using personality during dancing and learning to move to the beat of the music.
This class is recommended for any child looking to become a serious dancer and join any competitive dance team.

For this class pink ballet shoes, black jazz shoes and a black leotard are required. You may wear biker shorts or a skirt over your leotard. Hair must be out of the dancer's face.

Hip Hop 4-4.5B (6th - 8th grade)
Brianna Burleigh
Great for girls who want to have fun!!! Hip-hop teaches the street style dancing – mostly fun, basic coordination skills and movement. While it does not focus on the technique aspect of dance as much as our jazz classes, it is great for helping children learn to count music and put movement together with sound. This would be a great class for a student that is new to dance! We recommend Hip Hop for any girls who are interested in cheerleading!

This class will require a black leotard and black jazz shoes or black tennis (must only be used for dance class to protect our floors). Dancers can wear shorts over their leotards.
