1- Pre Pro Pointe
A style of Ballet that allows ladies to dance on their toes. After an appropriate amount of Ballet is studied and the dancers feet, ankles, and back are developed, young ladies may transition to pointe shoes. Dancers that are wanting to start pointe must be at least 12 years of age and have Instructor’s approval. Dancers must also attend at least one ballet class in addition to their pointe class. Pink tights, Black Leotard (Black skirt optional.) Pointe shoes. Note- Ballet is a disciplined and structured form of dance. The appropriate attire will allow the Instructor to accurately correct a dancer's placement.

The child will be introduced to French terminology, classical music, and modern popular music. Ballet develops posture, muscle control, flexibility, stamina, and poise. Provides lessons in determination and tenacity. Teaches respect for the art and the instructor. Class starts with either stretching or barre work, then to center floor combinations. Younger dancers will continue with a fun dance using scarves or other props. Older dancers will continue with an exciting dance combination or turns across the floor. 2024-25 Encore Dance Company Auditions- May 15th- Auditions for Encore Dance Company are open to all serious dancers ages 6 (by November) & up.
Ages 6-8 from 4:30-5:00,
8-12 from 5:00-6:00
13 & up from 6:00-7:00.
Tap for all ages 4:10-4:30
Please bring both ballet and jazz shoes. Hair should be up in a bun. Leotard and tights for ballet (and optional jazz shorts for jazz) are recommended. No jewelry or gum! The audition will be like a shortened dance class. No prepared dance is needed. There is a $25 audition fee to hold your place on the team.
