Each student will be challenged to their personal ability. This is a perfect choice for those who do sports but still want to take dance class. Attendance is still important. Students should make no less than 75 percent of classes. This class will perform one dance in the end of the year recital in May

Tap is a dance style in which the rhythm is audibly tapped out to created an added layer of percussion with the toe or heel by a dancer wearing shoes with metal taps.
Knee, ankle and foot articulation, coordination and speed of movement are developed and refined as dancers progress through our Tap levels. Instructors will place an emphasis on proper technique, rhythm, coordination, and musicality.
This class will perform one dance in our annual recital.
Students taking placement classes must attend 90% of classes. If a student can not commit to this class they should consider taking a non placement class.

Lyrical dance utilizes techniques from both ballet and jazz to create an emotional and expressive dance that is meant to relate to the lyrics of the songs being dance to. During a lyrical dance dances will use their body language and facial expressions to show emotions, including anger, heart, sadness, joy, love, etc. This beautiful dance style is often used as a method of storytelling and creates a connection with the audience many people love watching lyrical dance because they are relatable.
