Contemporary Thursday - Caboolture with Kate
Dance allows people with special needs to feel like they are a part of their learning. Rather than being waited on or coddled, they are given the opportunity to do something for themselves. This independence boosts their confidence and self-esteem and can release endorphins in the brain. And, the act of learning and working towards something gives students a sense of accomplishment, and instant gratification, aiding in self-assurance.
A dance class is also a fun and safe environment for them to learn and grow in. Odds are everyone around them is learning something new and has not yet mastered any of the skills. Therefore, they are able to bond with other students in the common goal, and as a result, may promote better social and interpersonal skills.

Moreover, with time, the effects of the breathwork can affect a state of calm and renewal in one's life. A sequence of specific breathing techniques can alleviate anxiety, depression, everyday stress, post-traumatic stress, and stress-related medical illnesses.

Fitness class Saturday with kate
Both Wednesdays and Saturdays layout of the class and how to set up your workout area to allow students to get the most out of class!
AREA:
-Spacious Area- enough room for push ups and star jumps without hitting anything
-A couch or stable chair near by close enough for them to use but still stay in camera shot or to grab to bring into the camera shot so I can still see them.
EQUIPMENT:
-Matt and/or Towel
-If students have any light weights eg. 1/2 kg dumb bells (Having two water water bottles the same size is perfectly okay as well! Just remember that your child has another water bottle handy to use throughout the workout!
The "Equipment" is not compulsory! The class can still be done with no equipment at all! I just wanted to add an "extra" that I wanted to include in class for anyone who had access to anything at home that they can include in their workouts with me.
See you all on Zoom for some Fitness Fun!
Jess :)
