At Dancers' Workshop, we place students by their grade in school through the end of 4th Grade. After the end of 4th Grade, students must audition for placement and be evaluated by an instructor. Levels are as follows:

3 & 4-year-olds - for students not yet in Kindergarten
Level I/II - for students in 1st and 2nd grades
Level III/IV - for students in 3rd and 4th grades
Level V - for any student after the end of 4th grade who auditions in a class (must take two ballet classes per week)
Level VI - for any intermediate student who auditions in a class for placement (must take three ballet classes per week)
Level VII/VIII - for any advanced student who auditions in a class for placement (must take three or more classes per week)
Pointe - for any advanced student who auditions for placement and takes 3 ballet classes per week

This is an advanced ballet technique class for experienced dancers and evaluation/placement by an instructor is required. This is an intermediate pointe technique class for students who are in at least 7th grade and who have a fair amount of prior training in classical ballet technique and beyond beginning pointe. Placement is by audition and is only at the discretion of the instructor. Dress Code includes Royal Blue (Level VI) or black (Level VII/VIII) leotard with matching skirt. Hair must be secured back in a neat bun. Boys wear black ballet tights, fitted white t-shirt, and black ballet shoes. Students at this level must take at least three ballet classes per week.
