Fall Showcase I
This is for students who love to perform on stage in song and dance numbers.

Students in this class will learn Broadway, Movie and Pop songs to perform in TBPAA Showcases. The first showcase for this class is in the early fall and the second is our Christmas Show.. This class runs in two sessions. The second session will perform in the February and May Showcases.

A Costume fee of $50.00 per session is required as are jazz or character shoes.

Registration for 2nd half of Session one is available. Classes for Holiday Show begin Nov 2nd

Acting 101
This class is a workshop style class to develop acting skills. Each month will focus on a different aspect of acting -- auditions, body language, facial expression, emotions, etc. Drop in students are welcome in this class.

Intermediate Showcase
This class teaches students intermediate jazz and Broadway dance and intermediate vocal performance skills. It prepares students to perform on stage by singing and dancing in a TBPAA Showcases. Students will learn about different styles of music and some history of music and dance. This class has a strong emphasis on performance.

TBPAA has 4 themes showcases per year each focusing on a different style of music. Also Performing in the Showcases are: Private Vocal & Instrument students, other Showcase Song/Dance Classes, & Encore Performance Team

Bring evil to life on stage. Learn Stage Combat – hits, falls, slaps, sword fighting and more. Learn to cackle like a witch, scream so that the audience shutters, and find out how special effects such as fog and lighting create the creepy and evil feeling on the stage.

Bring good to life on stage. Discover how heroes and heroines capture the hearts of the audiences. Learn how to show strength and vulnerability on the stage at the same time. Storybooks on Stage
This camp for elementary students brings classic stories and fairytales to the stage. The students act out their favorite stories from Dr. Seuss to traditional fairy tales-- with music, dance and song. Their favorite stories become a show to act, sing and dance in. Friday there is a production the last ½ hour of camp.

Triple Threat Theater
This dynamic camp develops the confidence and abilities every performer needs to be successful! This camp is perfect for serious, aspiring performers, as well as for kids who just want a super-fun, creative outlet - a place to discover and gain solid skills that will serve them on stage and throughout life. One hour of work on each of the three disciplines -- dance, acting, and singing daily. Students will be grouped into beginner, intermediate and advanced skill levels. A short production with costumes will conclude the camp.

Wizard of Oz
Learn the art of Stage Acting. Spend 4 days learning lines, blocking, acting technique and all kinds of stage lingo. Students will be cast, costumed, and will rehearse Mon-Friday for the non-musical full costumed production of Wizard of Oz on Friday night at 6pm.
Friday camp will include a cast dinner on Friday before the production. All campers will stay late on Friday.

Dancing through the Decades
From the Charleston (1920’s) to the 2020’s Renegade. Learn to do the Jerk, the Lindy, the Pony, the Twist, and more. Discover how dance changed each decade and what made them popular. And end of camp show will be held on Friday.

Glee Perfect
Want to improve your singing skills, this is the perfect camp for you.

Glee perfect is a combination of Pop and Broadway song and dance and acappella song groups ala Pitch Perfect where campers experience the dynamics of singing in a fun and exciting way. Learn how diaphragmatic breathing adds volume and control, how to create 2, 3 and 4 part harmonies, how to project without the help of a microphone and how to bring excitement to a performance through singerography. At the end of camp on Friday there will be a production at 5pm.

Intro to Music & Instruments
Have the chance to play a violin, viola, cello, a guitar, piano/keyboard and percussion instruments. Learn basic music reading, how different instruments create sound and how they work together to create mood and atmosphere all in a fun-interacting environment. This is a great class to introduce students to a variety of musical instruments. (Perfect for rising 6th graders who may have to make a choice of instruments for band or orchestra in middle school.)

Makeup Costumes Fog & Snow
Learn how the magic comes alive on stage. Design full costumes from individual components. Learn about Stage Make-up – , false eyelashes, lipstick, stage colors, plus special effect make-up such as the Green faced Wicked Witch, the Silver skinned Tinman, and the ferocious feline, the Cowardly Lion. Discover how the magic drops from the ceiling and the fog fills the floor. Put your new skills to work as the tech crew for The Wizard of Oz production. Friday camp will include a cast dinner on Friday before the production. All campers will stay late on Friday.

Music Magic -- Piano & Singing
What do all these symbols mean? Learn how music works, about timing, key signatures, and more in a fun filled creative atmosphere. Sample piano playing and vocal techniques. What is pitch? What is tonality? Create your own song and hear it played and song on stage.

Song-a-logue
The purpose of this camp is to improve singing performance. It involves using improvisation, acting and movement to create a work of art for a solo song piece. Students will select a song by their favorite theatrical character -- i.e. Scar from Lion King, Ursula in the Little Mermaid, a Disney Princess, the forceful Elfaba even the Phantom of the Opera! Students will break down their song into a monologue, create a story to tell, then add the music back in to make the song their own. Students will work on pitch, tone, and other aspects of musicality. This camp is especially helpful to students who need to improve their singing for auditions
