Contemporary class focuses on growing a dancer's performance quality and movement contrasts along with fluidity, poise and emotive qualities. Lyrical/contemporary is a fluid form of dance done to popular ballads and slower contemporary music. The dancer is taught to interpret his or her movement with feeling, emotion and style. They will learn to tell a story or create the picture of the song. This style combines the fluid beauty of ballet with contrasting sharper movements usually seen in jazz.

*A Ballet or Jazz class is recommended along this class to build technique

Class format includes gross locomotor exercises across the floor, fun games and rhymes during stretches in circle time format, and a brief but imaginative introduction to ballet positions and concepts like "plie'" "tendu" "pique" and more. Jazz is an upbeat style of dance that is very relevant and prevalent in today's culture! Jazz dancers will learn all aspects of jazz technique including; center warm-up to foster proper alignment and placement, across the floor exercises consisting of weight and direction changes, turns, leaps, and style. Dancers will also learn center choreography and combos to help them learn choreography quickly and to learn and implement various styles!

This class is for the intermediate dancer and is designed for those who have already taken 1 to 2 years of jazz! Hip Hop Class is perfect for dancers who love moving and grooving at a fast pace!
This class is designed for the dancer who has already taken 1 year of hip hop!
This class will build the same foundational skills every dancer needs: gross motor skills, opposition, strength building, core engagement, brain-to-body connection, and so much more!

Our Elementary division classes are often a student's first experience with a full ballet class format.
Class begins at the barre & proceeds to the center and across the floor combinations.
Ballet at this level is challenging but kept fun with analogy and creative formats, and the use of all types of music.
We encourage all of our students to push themselves, explore and create with movement!

Perfect for dancers who love moving and grooving at a fast pace! This class is for advanced dancers with experience in hip hop!

This class will build the same foundational skills every dancer needs: gross motor skills, opposition, strength building, core engagement, brain-to-body connection, and so much more!

Hip Hop Class follows a traditional format: warm-up, stretching/strengthening, and cardio followed by choreography! Expect great music, a good workout, consistent skill-building, and a fun class every week!

Youth Ballet II / ages 12 & up / intermediate
Youth Ballet II has an option of enrolling in this class that meets 2x weekly, or the 1x weekly class that only meets on Tuesdays. Students who are planning / preparing for Pointe training need to take 2x weekly.
The class is designed to increase ballet step vocabulary, strength, stamina, technique, and artistry through the specific training methods of classical class structure and repertoire.

Youth Ballet III / IV / ages 12 & up / intermediate - advanced
This advanced-level ballet class meets 2x weekly. For dancers in the Monday Pointe class, pointe shoes should be worn for ballet on Thursdays as well for either barre or center or both.
The class is designed to increase strength, stamina, technique, and artistry through the specific training methods of classical class structure and repertoire.
