Ambassador Apprentices Class/Performance
Our Ambassador Apprenticeship Class is available for dancers aged 8 by Oct 31st 2021.
This short 7 week program gives eligible dancers a glimpse into our Ambassador program, letting them attend rehearsals, learn and perform a song with the Ambassador team at our June 6th recital.
Cost of the class includes a 2021 Recital T-shirt which will be worn for the recital performance.
Class is dependent upon enough interested parties.

Class times will vary occasionally, like our rehearsals do - and students should reserve 4:30-6:30pm every Friday evening for their "classtime" but most days will be only the first hour of class / rehearsal required.

This class provides continuing challenges for our students who have previously taken Primary Ballet, Elementary Ballet, or are starting Ballet training for the first time at ages 9-11.
New students at this level will begin building a foundation of proper ballet technique in a fun & creative environment. Students with experience will increase their ballet vocabulary, and begin learning proper technique for successful and safe execution.

Learning is fun and upbeat, creativity continues to be explored as students are asked to imagine their own dances and worlds, using their bodies to communicate to an audience just like professional dancers!
Important lessons learned at this level: “dancing can be hard work” & “we can make hard work fun!”.

Elementary level classes introduce students for the first time to a "full" ballet class format.
Class begins at the barre, stretching and center work follow. Combinations across the floor finish the class.

Pointe Level I / Pre-Pointe Class
Our Pointe Level I class provides students with ongoing pointe training.
Additional strengthening exercises and more difficult technical vocabulary are introduced and mastered.
Dancers begin working more in the center and across the floor.
**Students must be promoted into this class. Pre-requisites are required**


Pre-Pointe is a pointe preparation class for serious ballet students interested in dancing en pointe. Teachers must approve your enrollment/readiness for Pre-Pointe class / Pointe Preparation.
Pre-Pointe is a 45-minute class that meets weekly. The class is often taken barefoot & in soft shoes.
Class is spent doing foot/ankle exercises & stretches to prepare the muscles and joints for pointe work. Core, hip and other problem areas are addressed during class time as well. Students who have taken / are taking Pre-Pointe will get a recommendation letter when they are ready for Pointe work.

Youth Contemporary II/III
Contemporary class focuses on growing a dancer's performance quality and movement contrasts along with fluidity, poise and emotive qualities. Lyrical/contemporary is a fluid form of dance done to popular ballads and slower contemporary music. The dancer is taught to interpret his or her movement with feeling, emotion and style. They will learn to tell a story or create the picture of the song. This style combines the fluid beauty of ballet with contrasting sharper movements usually seen in jazz.
*A Ballet or Jazz class is recommended along with lyrical/contemporary to build technique.

Dancers will work on all types of skills in both areas while imaginative games, analogies and exercises help keep them excited and engaged in their work!

**We suggest students take Ballet Foundations I before a combo class.
**Students are most successful in this class if they are at least 4 years of age.
