This will be our middle skill level class. At this level we begin blending basic skills with more complicated combinations. By pulling in dance knowledge from classes such as ballet or jazz, we will be able to seamlessly blend tumbling and dance into routines. The focus of this class will be to build confidence and strength in the students movements.

This age will learn creative moment, using music and props. This class is limited in size due to the age and will have one instructor and one assistant. This class will have an in house showcase in the studio at the end of the season with costume and routine. They will transition to the big stage at the Paramount when they graduate to Pr-K 4.

This level of ballet will move much faster than an open class due to the artistically gifted dancers that excel faster and retain choreography quicker. This class will push dancers to their limit for their age and require strict attendance.

Pointe 3
Pointe is part of classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet with pointe shoes. Dancers at this level will be introduced to a higher level of execution en pointe that was developed in Pointe 1 & 2. Mastering multiple turns en pointe, better control of balance and faster combinations en pointe.
Extensive training and practice are required to develop the strength and technique needed for pointe work. Typically, dance teachers consider factors such as age, experience, strength and alignment when deciding whether to allow a dancer to begin pointe work.

Boogaloo Sam was inspired to create a new style of dance after watching some dancers who were locking on television. He created Popping, which is a dance that combines rigid robotic moves with loose flowing moves. Popping came about in the late 60's. Llocking is a form of urban dance originating in California in the late 60's and 70's, involving rhythmic contractions of the dancers's muscles to acne the beat usually performed to funk music.

Pointe is part of classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet with pointe shoes. Dancers at this level are executing double and triple pirouettes, fouett├ęs, double echappes, etc.

We will begin to expand their knowledge of steps and combinations and introduce progressions across the floor for more traveling combos and stronger focus on flexibility and strength.

In this class we will focus on the base skills needed for higher tumbling skills. Handstands, cartwheels and bridges are the foundation for all tricks to come as students grow. Creating a love for tumbling is very important. While we have fun in class, we will be training the correct form for tumbling while integrating skills into dance sequences. Using our class time to work through cardio, strength, limbering, flexibility, and tumbling we will have well rounded students.
