Acrobatic Arts (LEVEL 4+)
If your child has a hard time deciding between dance and gymnastics, this is a great option! This class will work on tumbling and acrobatic skills in a logical progression that will prepare them for acro dance, cheerleading, etc. Acrobatics is thought to be a subset of gymnastics; instead of a sprung floor, bars, beam, or vault, acro teaches dancers how to use their own bodies safely on a hard floor and utilizes more graceful, softer lines with a more fluid prep and landing in their tumbling. Dancers in this class are REQUIRED to be enrolled in a separate dance technique class (ballet and/or jazz). BGAD teachers are Acrobatic Arts certified and use their curriculum and progressions. This class requires a specific set of skills as a prerequisite: please email or contact Ms. Lauren or Ms. Karlie for the skill list.
