Our Ninja program combines gymnastics, obstacle training, tumbling, and parkour techniques. Students benefit from strengthening, balance, and flexibility, developing improved health, coordination, and confidence. Classes are divided by age to ensure proper skill and strength progression. Our Ninja Frame consists of monkey bars, a zip line, cargo climbing net, floating poles, unstable bridges, and more for added fun!

Prerequisites: Students need to have be able to do a backbend and back limber to enroll in this class OR permission from a SMG coach in order to sign up for this class. If this is your child's first time at SMG and you feel as if your child has the necessary skills to attend this level, new students can be evaluated for placement. Tumbling Ages 11-18 Tue 5:45-6:30
Tumbling is fun and beneficial to many different types of sports and activities. Whether it’s dance, cheer, martial arts, this class will focus on the proper progressions of tumbling skills.

Tumbling Beginners - Advanced – This class is for students who are just starting their tumbling journey. We will begin with rolls, cartwheels, handstands and round-offs just to name a few skills. We will also focus on strength, body awareness, and flexibility. All of which are necessary for proper gymnastic progression.

Intermediate - Advanced Tumbling -This class will begin with all of the skills listed in the “Beginner” description, but we will quickly advance to more complex skills. The tumbling progressions we teach will build on each other. Every tumbler must start with a solid foundation in order to progress! Our coaching staff will ensure that each individual is challenged. Skills will include back handsprings, round-off back handspring, back tuck, layout and twisting.

Platinum Team
Ages 7-18 (Levels 3-7) 2x per week
The Platinum Team gymnasts will learn a Compulsory routine for all events. In addition to in-house meets gymnasts
will have the opportunity to sign up to participate in travel meets. Dates TBA. Meet fees vary per meet (last year they were $65 per meet)
These students will participate in SMG’s In House mock meets. There is an additional annual Coaches fee upon registration to help pay for travel costs for attending coaches per gymnast at the time of registration. Meet fees vary per meet - TBA in the Fall. Routines will be designed to follow high school rules as close as possible, with a couple of modifications allowed. Gymnasts at this level need to have the following skills: round-off back handspring on TT, back handspring on floor (without a spot), Vault on Vault Table, Squat on Jump to High Bar - Bars. Instructor may recommend to this level based on how close they are to these skills on their own.

Diamond Team
Ages 7-18 (Levels 3-7) 2x per week
The Diamond Team gymnasts will have the option of performing the Compulsory routines, or having their own music and individual routine(s) choreographed (choreography is an additional, separate fee &
scheduled with our Team Choreographer – Kayla Williamson). In addition to in-house meets gymnasts will have the opportunity to sign up to participate in travel meets. Dates TBA. Meet fees vary per meet.
