2024 Summer Session

Name
Days
Location
Summer Solo or Duet w/Ally
Dancers signed up for the Summer Dance Session have the opportunity to do ONE extra dance (solo or duet) in the Summer Dance Performance. Dancers need to decide on the type of dance they want to do (lyrical, hip hop, tap, poms, etc) and then decide what instructor they want to help them choreography the dance.

Participating in a solo and or duet dance is a great and very rewarding experience! But it does involve extra costs and commitment from both the dancers and their parents. The $35 due at the time of sign up is for the music fee and administrative costs. Dancers meet with their instructor for 2-3 private lessons to learn and clean a dance; private lessons with instructors is $30/hr. Private lesson fees are due at the end of each lesson with your instructor.
Dancers are expected to practice their solo/duet dance each week. If a dancer hasn't been practicing, ASOD has the option to cut any solo/duet dancer from the performance.

Dancers that do a solo for the Summer Performance will use that same solo for the upcoming dance season – Winter Showcase and at competitions if they choose to compete.
