Mystic
Students will continue to be drilled on proper technique and more advanced reels, light jigs, single jigs, and slip jigs for soft shoe dances.
Dancers will begin learning hard shoes steps, including beginner hornpipes, treble jigs, and treble/hard reels. They will also be introduced to basic advanced movements such as swivels, quivers, birds, and hanging leap-2-3’s.

Storm
Dancers will learn additional reels, jigs, and slip jigs, and master hard/treble reels and hornpipes, treble jigs, at advanced speeds, all with proper technique. They will also become proficient in advanced movements such as swivels, quivers, birds, and hanging leap-2-3’s.

Thunder
Students will start executing all of their steps to advanced/open speed music. More advanced movements will be introduced such as bicycles, scissors, rocks, toe stands, etc.

At the most advanced level, dancers will execute all steps in advanced/open speed music. They are introduced to more complicated choreography as they become technically proficient in bicycles, scissors, rocks, toe stands, etc.

Blaze
For students who are new to Irish dance. Dancers will learn basic jigs, reels, and slip jigs. Students should begin to master beginner jigs, reels, and movements.

For beginners who have completed the Blaze course, or who are 10+ years of age. Dancers learn jigs, reels, slip jigs, and fundamental movements while improving their technique and skills.

Fortress
Students will learn more advanced reels, light jigs, slip jigs, single jigs, and group dances. They will be drilled on proper technique i.e. turnout and crossover, pointed toes, straight arms and back, etc. preparatory to advancing into hard shoe. Students may start learning hard shoe steps, but should not purchase hard shoes without the instructor's approval.

Skills & Drills Class 1 (Fortress, Mystic, & Storm)
Skills and Drills classes help students develop and improve their technique, timing, footwork, flexibility, strength, stamina, and overall execution. These skills lead to a more polished presentation of solo and performance steps. Dancers can expect to work on foundational Irish Dance techniques, such as point, turn-out, posture, and arms; as well as specific skills found in class steps, like clicks, leaps, and rocks.

Feis Class A (for Fortress-Storm Dancers)
For new or competing students enrolled in Fortress-Storm levels and/or students competing primarily at the Beginner/Novice level. This class may also be taken by any student wishing to receive additional help with specific steps. Dancers may attend this class weekly, or on a drop-in basis using the punch-pass system. Students interested in competing should plan to attend the Feis class weekly for at least one month prior to competing in any Feis, but will feel most prepared if they are attending regularly. This class is meant to be taken in conjunction with the Wednesday Skills and Drills class.
