Ballet/Jazz Combo (ages 5.5 - 9) Nov-Dec.
Dancers will be introduced to ballet and jazz in this combo class that emphasizes coordination, musicality and the basics of both dance styles. Dancers spend 30 mins on ballet and then 25 minutes learning a jazz dance that they build on each week of the session. Similar to hip hop and the types of dancing you often see in music videos, jazz is a crossover style that pulls from ballet, modern and contemporary and is often set to pop music. Dress Code for Girls = solid color leotard, pink ballet slippers and hair pulled away from face. Options for the bottom - pink tights, skirt, black jazz shorts or black leggings. Additional black or tan jazz shoes optional for jazz portion of class.
Boys = black shorts and a white t-shirt with black ballet shoes.
No classes the week of Thanksgiving (11/22 - 11/28). Tuition covers 6 weeks of classes.

Join us as we learn age appropriate dance combinations that focus on rhythm and coordination set to some of today’s most popular music. Come see how fun it can be to step outside your comfort zone! Dancers learn a combination each week that builds into a full dance by the end of the session. Girls = solid color leotard, black bottoms (i.e. leggings, jazz pants, bike shorts), black or tan jazz shoes or black dance sneakers purchased from Dance Fashions Warehouse, and hair pulled away from face. Boys = white T-shirt and black jazz pants or shorts, jazz shoes or black dance sneakers purchased from Dance Fashions Warehouse.

Try this NEW class at Balance where caregivers join their little dancers and have a blast with music, movement, and lots of props (scarves, flowers, hula hoops, a parachute and more!) Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Socks, bare feet, or ballet slippers are perfect for this class. Registration available in monthly sessions.

No semester committment needed.

Whether you currently take ballet or perhaps have taken a break and want to get back to the studio, this class is for you. We’ll start at the barre and then move to the center where the fun really starts as we use the huge studio to really move! Like all Balance classes, the environment is accepting, fun, and supportive for various ages and levels. Best suited for ages 10 -15 with at least one year of ballet training.
