ABOUT WE ARE MONSTERS: We Are Monsters is a hilarious musical that follows human kids into a monster cabaret filled with quirky monster characters. ABOUT WE ARE MONSTERS: We Are Monsters is a hilarious musical that follows human kids into a monster cabaret filled with quirky monster characters. ABOUT MUSIC MAN- Master showman Harold Hill is in town and he’s got “seventy-six trombones” in tow. Can upright, uptight Marian, the town librarian, resist his powerful allure? The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize. The catch? He doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, whose belief in Harold’s power just might help him succeed in the end in spite of himself.
SHOW TUITION INCLUDES
* A guaranteed role in the show
*A script to use for the duration of the rehearsal period
* Studio rehearsals to learn blocking, choreography and music
* 2-4 live performances on stage - (number of performances depending on show)
* Provided Costumes
* Provided Props
* Sets and/or scenic backdrops
* Access to show materials including music with and without vocals for rehearsal, access to digital script and rehearsal videos
* Audition prep tutorials
* A digital copy of the dvd
* A show themed t-shirt/or skyrise season tshirt
* 2 complimentary tickets to the performance of your registered show (per student registered)
NOTE: This package only applies to certain productions- NOT VALID: with second party organizations (ie: Westborough Community Ed, Southborough Rec etc.)
STUDENTS WILL LEARN HOW TO
* Embody their character through movement on stage
* Cultivate their own creativity to develop character traits
* React to the scene as their character would, through lines or visual reactions
* Improvise in character on stage
* Be comfortable with public speaking
* Vocalize through warmups to prepare their singing and speaking voice
* Sing healthily (vocal health is a priority) and in character
* Stretch their bodies to prepare for dance and on stage movement
* Be a team player in a show, and the importance of every actor on stage
* Work backstage with tech elements (varies)
* Work with peers in a broad age range and see those benefits
* Love and respect for the arts
* Gain and maintain confidence in their unique gifts as they grow
FALL/WINTER/SPRING TUITION POLICY
-You must keep a valid Credit Card on file
-All Classes tuition payment is due in FULL upon registration - These are non- refundable or creditable at anytime (dance, broadway fundamental, specialties, comedy, stage combat and movie magic)
-All Production tuition requires a $150 non-refundable deposit. You can choose to go in and pay your balance in FULL the day of registration- or you will be automatically charged monthly (for up to 3 months (depending on when initial sign up is) or until completion of production/program.
-Auto-pay payments are deducted monthly on the 1st or the 15th.
-You will be charged the remaining balance the week of the conclusion of the production/program
-Remaining full tuition amount (after deposit) is non-refundable or creditable 4 weeks prior to program starting OR/AND after any auditions (if applicable)
