Disciplines include ballet, pointe, men’s technique, classical and contemporary repertoire, pas de deux, variations, contemporary, modern, improvisation technique, and ballet fitness.
Ballet classes will include technical influences from the Russian, French, Danish, and American styles. Dancers who have been trained in pointe technique for more than 5 years will be encouraged to wear pointe shoes for barre and/or centre work.
Learning objectives will include; a deeper understanding of classical ballet technique while working to a pre-professional level with a focus on transition steps, syncopation, musicality, proper placement, execution of steps, and the carriage and coordination of the port de bras. Dancers in the PTP level will increase their strength in jumps and turns with attention to speed, height, and accuracy while using their technique as a foundation to express artistry, musicality, fluidity of movement, and overall performance quality.

Level 3 Pre-pointe/Pointe
Student Program Level 3 pre-pointe/pointe is for the intermediate level dancer. In this class students will work on the fundamentals of beginning pointe work. Students not already on pointe will gain the strength required to move on to pointe work through the same series of exercises performed on flat. Class time runs 1 hour.

Dancers joining Student Program Level 3, who are not currently on pointe, should not purchase pointe shoes until speaking with their instructor or the Student Program principal. Students will be notified when the instructor feels that the student has sufficient strength, level of technique, and maturity necessary to begin pointe work. The decision to start pointe work will be made on an individual basis with the advice of the instructor, even if the student has been on pointe at a previous studio. Instructors will check the fit of the shoes to ensure the student's purchase proper shoes for their feet. Students should not sew ribbons and elastics on their shoes until they receive approval from their instructor.

Class time runs for 2 hours and 15 minutes with 1.5 hours of ballet technique and 30 minutes of pre-pointe, stretch, and strengthening. Students that are ready to add more classes to their schedule can add in ballet on Saturdays and Intro to Contemporary.

Student Program Level 3 pre-pointe/pointe is for the intermediate level dancer. In this class students will work on the fundamentals of beginning pointe work. Students not already on pointe will gain the strength required to move on to pointe work through the same series of exercises performed on flat. Class time runs 1 hour.

Dancers joining Student Program Level 3, who are not currently on pointe, should not purchase pointe shoes until speaking with their instructor or the Student Program principal. Students will be notified when the instructor feels that the student has sufficient strength, level of technique, and maturity necessary to begin pointe work. The decision to start pointe work will be made on an individual basis with the advice of the instructor, even if the student has been on pointe at a previous studio. Instructors will check the fit of the shoes to ensure the student's purchase proper shoes for their feet. Students should not sew ribbons and elastics on their shoes until they receive approval from their instructor.

Level 1B-2 Contemporary
Level 1B & 2 Contemporary is for the beginner to pre-intermediate dancer. Students channel their inner creativity while learning new dance techniques that spark their imagination. Class time runs 1 hour and is on Saturdays. This class takes part in the Spring Showcase, separate from the ballet classes. Dancers must be enrolled in the ballet technique program in order to enroll in this class

Drop In Ballet Class
Join us at TMBT for our Drop In Ballet Class! Drop In Ballet is for the intermediate to advanced ballet dancer ages 14+. Classes are $20 per class. Receive discounts with our multiple 5 and 10 class cards available for a purchase in our online store.
Please be sure to schedule your class! Space is limited to 20 students per class. Cancellation must be made 2 hours prior to class start time.
