Circle Workshop: Boundaries, Resiliency & Supporting Others
Circle Workshop: Resiliency, Care & Supporting Others. Girls constantly face the challenge of feeling the need to support and carry friends and others through tough times. How do we do this while knowing how much is healthy to give? We will explore the types of support others ask/require of us, our own level of tolerance and anxiety in meeting others' asks, how self-care comes into play, and how our own resiliency (and others') impacts how we navigate these moments. We will be building resiliency gardens for our art project.

Circle Workshop: Experimentation and Boundaries
Circle Workshop: Experimentation and Boundaries. This workshop is intended mainly for those entering 7th-10th with one eye on the ever-growing drug and alcohol culture becoming more prevalent in our high school and upper grades at the middle school. We will have an honest and mature discussion around drinking and pot, and exposure to more harmful substances-- with an eye on Who your safe people are; What it means for brain development at this stage; Where it is showing up; Why young teens are choosing to engage; and How to set your boundaries around this and seek support for yourself or a friend you may have concerns about. We will be pragmatic and empathetic, knowing that things that live in the shadows are often not spoken about, and so inviting honest and caring dialogue into the room can help everyone navigate this complex and important topic. Mature 12-15 years welcome.

This is a much anticipated and beloved annual tradition which we are so happy and proud to offer! Previous and current Circle girls who are in the process of navigating High school come and answer ANY questions our eager and often apprehensive graduating 8th-grade girls might be wondering. We talk about teachers, social norms and expectations, class challenge, sports, LGBTQ support, partying and dating, and so much more! Every year the girls arrive apprehensive and leave feeling relieved, excited and much more confident. Strengthening Healthy Relationships
Circle Workshop: Healthy & Unhealthy Relationships. How do we personally define what is good and bad for us? This workshop will look at healthy and unhealthy aspects and qualities that commonly show up in girls' friendships and dating "situation-ships". We will touch on the impacts of self-esteem, social pressures, what's expected in our families, society, and media- and how to hone in on what feels most aligned with girls' individual values.
