Students will be learning the basics of the theater arts with the ultimate goal being a final big spring performance. Students will learn various theater warmups and do them at the beginning of each class we will be learning various acting exercises to build confidence and techniques. This class will build weekly on the previous class and will build to an end of the year production.

Teachers are certified in Acro and Rhythm Works Instruction. Class is limited to 6 students. Parents may accompany the student in the class and participate with them.

Students will work on the art of twirling a flag with rhythm and timing. This class will be limited to 8 students, due to the size of the flags. This class will perform in parades, recital, community events, and much more. This class will help students learn the art of flag throwing, tosses, marching technique and much more. This class is open for the multiple class discount of 25%.

Students can also participate in baton if they want. They must purchase their own baton. Baton instruction will focus on students 6 to 8.

Ages 6 to 8 will do baton, ages 9 and up will twirl flags.

There is no costume fee or shoes required.

The dancer must also be enrolled in a acro class. Ages 4 and up welcome and limited to 15 spots. Acro skills will also be addressed during this class. This fee will not be discounted.

Praise is what we do:

Flag/ Twirling Class/Baton
Students will work on the art of twirling a flag with rhythm and timing. This class will be limited to 8 students, due to the size of the flags. This class will perform in parades, recital, community events, and much more. This class will help students learn the art of flag throwing, tosses, marching technique and much more. This class is open for the multiple class discount of 25%.

Students can also participate in baton if they want. They must purchase their own baton. Baton instruction will focus on students 6 to 8.

Ages 6 to 8 will do baton, ages 9 and up will twirl flags.

There is no costume fee or shoes required.

Please wear closed toe, tennis shoes to class.

Competition Cheer Team
Students who are in the cheer class, who are selected to be a part of the Cheer Competition Team- will meet weekly and work on routines for a spring dance competition in Roanoke, Va. The students will learn various routines and also participate in community events. Students will be able to fundraise for their fees, tuition, and costumes. Costume fee will be 75.00 for this class and is due in November. Students will also purchase matching white cheer shoes.

For recital students will wear the recital shirt and will purchase this for 12.00.

The class will feature instruction and lesson plans each week that work with students on various skills.

This class follows the Acro Dance Teacher Association Curriculum.

Acro Dance 6 to 9
This is a competition team- The team will learn an acro routine for two dance competitions in Virginia. The team will also attend community events as well. The team will require a costume deposit of 50.00. Each competition will cost 50.00- The routines will be group routines. The competition will be in March 2024 and April 2024. The dancer must also be enrolled in a acro class. Ages 4 and up welcome and limited to 15 spots. Acro skills will also be addressed during this class. This fee will not be discounted.

Drama Class
Students will be learning the basics of the theater arts with the ultimate goal being a final big spring performance. Students will learn various theater warmups and do them at the beginning of each class we will be learning various acting exercises to build confidence and techniques. Focuses will be online memorization, makeup and purpose.



This class will build weekly on the previous class and will build to an end of the year production.

Production (Team)
Students on the dance team, cheer team, or acro team quality for this class. This class will feature a production style dance- Productions are dances that tell a story. This dance can incorporate several styles of dance and is the song is extended in length or several songs mixed together. A theme has not been addressed yet- This dance will attend competitions as well. The cost for competitions will be 50.00 per competition and will also involve a costume. No deposit will be due. You will pay as the costumes are ordered.

Praise Dance
Praise is what we do:
Praise Dance is dancing to up lift your spirit, heart and soul and to worship the Lord in the dance, we use flags, streamers, scarves and tambourines.

Instructor: Lolita Smith “Leigh Leigh - Loves to dance and has worked with all ages and she still continues to dance at my church, in the community and also danced on the program at the school.

This class is weekly!

It is by donation only.

The funds raised will be donated to St. Jude's!
