Beginner Ballet & Jazz Combo
A combination of ballet and jazz for children who love to move their bodies! Ballet technique teaches strength, coordination, and flexibility. focuses on the fundamentals of ballet technique. The class emphasizes proper placement, vocabulary, etiquette, and ballet-based improvisation. Ballet helps the body to be strong and limber, and it helps with mobility and posture. This class incorporates musicality and syncopation from Jazz as well as fun!

Dress code: Light blue leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black children's jazz shoes, and (optional) blue skirt.

Jazz 2
Jazz 2 builds upon skills learned in Jazz 1 with emphasis on refining technique, musicality, increasing vocabulary and movement through space and combinations. It is highly recommended that this class be taken in addition to Ballet for a well rounded dance technique. Jazz introduces students to syncopated rhythms, body isolations and a repertoire of standard technical and expressive movements. Jazz focuses on strength building, flexibility, technique, and character expression.

Dress code: Black leotard with black tights. Optional black jazz shorts and/or pants. Black jazz shoes (not boots).

Modern 3
Modern dance is a concert dance form that developed from ballet in the early 20th century. Classes begin with a floor and standing warm-up followed by center and traveling exercises that focus on proper technique, spinal articulation (including contractions and spirals), musicality, and movement quality. Dancers will focus on contractions, spirals, basic floor work, and elemental concepts of space, time, and force. They will also build core strength and flexibility in a fun and encouraging environment. This is an advanced level class, prior dance experience is required. Any color leotard with black, pink or nude tights. (Optional) skirt or shorts. Bare feet or pink ballet shoes.

This is an advanced intermediate class. Prior ballet experience is required. We will focus on classical ballet technique through a professional class progression. Barre work, center and across the floor exercises are designed to better your technique, as well as performance quality and confidence. This is a good class for those enrolled in Ballet 2 to gain extra practice and strength.

Dress code: Black leotard, pink tights, pink split soled ballet shoes and (optional) matching Black skirt. Pointe shoes are not required.

Pre-ballet & tap Combo
Pre Ballet & Tap is an introduction to ballet basics using methods designed for young imaginative minds and bodies. This combination class for preschool age children concentrates on the development of coordination, balance and the teachings of the basic ballet and tap technique suitable for their age and ability level. Students are given the opportunity to move, stretch, and improve self-confidence while being introduced to basic ballet and tap concepts, body alignment, posture, locomotor skills, as well as develop self-expression through creative movement.

Dress code: Ballet Pink Leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black children’s tap shoes, and (optional) pink skirt.

Beginner Ballet & Tap Combo
This class introduces an expanded age-appropriate repertoire of ballet fundamentals. Students will begin to learn correct execution of turnout and placement in basic positions; continue to develop their coordination; and focus on age-appropriate spatial and body awareness. During tap instruction, the class focuses on developing students' coordination, sense of time and basic tap dancing vocabulary.
Dress code: Light blue leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black children's tap shoes, and (optional) blue skirt..

Jazz 3
Jazz 3 is a 60 minute, high energy class that builds upon previous knowledge in the center and across the floor incorporating choreography and complex technical patterns. Dancers will improve muscular strength, control, flexibility, rhythm, movement and musicality. Previous dance experience is required.

Dress code: Black leotard with black tights. Optional black jazz shorts and/or pants. Black jazz shoes (not boots).

Ballet 2 & Pre-pointe
The class focuses on intermediate barre work, center exercises, and across the floor combinations. Students learn technique and placement, while emphasizing musicality. Ballet 2 introduces an expanded age-appropriate repertoire of ballet fundamentals. Students will begin to learn correct execution of turnout and placement in basic positions; continue to develop their coordination; and focus on age-appropriate spatial and body awareness. Combinations to strengthen the legs, feet, and ankles are introduced to prepare students for pointe work. We highly recommend students at this level take class twice (Ballet 3 is a good optional class) a week for optimal growth. Conditioning 2 & 3
Get strong with Ms. Stephanie! Conditioning is designed to increase range of motion, balance, muscle flexibility, and a dancer's overall strength. It involves a combination of cardio, bodyweight exercises. Ankle weights, blocks, and bands are tools that may be used to increase difficulty.

Dress code: Any color leotard, tights or leggings.

Advanced Musical Theatre
This course focuses on the fundamentals of musical theater dance, including basic training in ballet and modern jazz dance technique, alignment, coordination, flexibility, strength, endurance, rhythm/musicality, spatial relationships, performance, the choreographer/dancer relationship, and choreographic composition. Practical and historical study of Broadway dance styles; main focus on jazz idiom. Emphasis placed on performance quality. Prior dance experience is required.

Dress Code: Any color leotard with black, pink or nude tights. (Optional) skirt, pants or shorts. Black jazz shoes or black high heeled t-strap character shoes.

ACRO All Levels
Acrobatics uses strength and flexibility to perform gymnastic-based tricks. In this class, students perform conditioning exercises to prepare them for increased difficulty. It teaches flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination. Acrobatic Dance, or "acro" as it is commonly referred to by dancers and dance professionals, is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Often defined by unique choreography, acro dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, line and extension with acrobatic movements in a dance context. This is open to all students age 7 and up.

Dress code: Black leotard with black tights. Optional black jazz shorts and/or pants.

Contemporary I&II
In contemporary dance class, students will learn how to use the essentials learned from ballet and jazz and fuse modern and lyrical styles to explore versatility and creativity. Class begins with a cardio warm up designed to improve alignment, range of motion and fluidity. Then, get your heart rate up as you practice patterns of steps to a variety of expressive songs and piece together a short combination. This class is for young dancers who like creative challenges, connecting dance to other mediums, and physical challenges that require persistence and practice. This class is for current CNJBT ballet students who have completed Beginner Ballet combo classes and are currently enrolled in Ballet 2. This class may also be taken by students 8+ with no dance experience. NOTE: All contemporary dance students must also be enrolled in a ballet class.

Dress code: Any color leotard with (optional) skirt. Pink tights, pink split soled ballet shoes, pink point shoes with matching ribbons.
